São Paulo reinforces attack with Victor Sá, ex-Botafogo, in a strategic move that does not generate costs for the club

The São Paulo squad will have a new name for the attack starting this week. The club made official the arrival of Victor Sá, a 32-year-old player, who signed a contract until the end of 2029. His arrival comes at no cost to Tricolor from São Paulo, as the athlete was free on the market after the end of the European season at Krasnodar, in Russia, a strategic move amid the team’s financial challenges.

In his first statements to the official São Paulo portal, Victor Sá expressed great satisfaction with the new phase. “I feel immense happiness, because playing for São Paulo represents every player’s aspiration”, said the newly arrived striker.

He also shared his expectations for the future, wishing him success in his professional career. “I hope that everything goes as smoothly as possible in this new chapter of my career”, said the athlete, adding that he intends to help his colleagues, fulfill his duties and provide moments of joy for the fans, repaying the affection shown with commitment and performance.

Victor Sá’s career included a significant part of his career on the international stage. In Brazil, he gained notoriety wearing the Botafogo shirt, where he played between 2022 and 2023. He later transferred to Krasnodar, the club where he won the Russian Championship title in the 2024/2025 season.

In a scenario of considerable financial challenges, São Paulo remains active in the market in search of new players. The São Paulo club advanced in negotiations for defender Domingos Duarte, reaching the requested financial terms. Furthermore, the board began dialogues with América do México for the possible signing of midfielder Rodrigo Dourado, aiming to strengthen other areas of the squad.
