Google schedules Pixel 11 event for August 12th and is expected to increase the price of new smartphones
Google has confirmed the holding of its next Made By Google event for August 12th, in New York. Although the invitation does not detail the products, the images released indicate the presentation of a new Pixel smartphone, with a similar look to the previous model. Recent rumors indicate that the updated devices may have high prices, reflecting the shortage of components driven by the demand for artificial intelligence.
The phone’s elegant lines in the promotional material are very similar to those of the company’s latest Pixel models, confirming initial speculation. Google’s new phones should maintain similar formats, with the Pro and Pro Fold versions possibly featuring a reduction in thickness. A more noticeable design modification might be the addition of “Pixel Glow” lights, a backlight for notifications and status.
Recent information suggests that Google plans to discontinue the 128GB storage option for smaller models. In 2025, both the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro were launched with this initial capacity, considered insufficient for a high-end device in the current era, where consumers seek greater longevity for their devices. The company is expected to adopt 256GB as the minimum standard for both phones.
The leaks also reveal supposed prices for the European market, which will be offset by the base storage capacity increased by 100 euros.
