The anime adaptation of Kagurabachi, a manga by Takeru Hokazono published in Weekly Shonen Jump, was officially announced on Monday. The project is scheduled to premiere in April 2027. The promotional material shows animation with striking features and a focus on combat with katanas. Production is in charge of the Cypic studio, responsible for titles such as Umamusume: Pretty Derby and The Summer Hikaru Died. It is directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi, a professional with experience in action sequences in Naruto, Lycoris Recoil and other works.
