LG Electronics presented its new UltraGear evo 27GM950B gaming monitor, equipped with Hyper Mini LED technology and 5K resolution. The model hits the market in April with a maximum brightness of 1,250 nits, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and artificial intelligence features for real-time image optimization. The announcement marks the company’s entry into a high-performance segment, combining cinematic visuals with competitive responsiveness.
Tecnologia Hyper Mini LED reduces visual artifacts
The monitor’s advanced architecture features 2,304 local dimming zones, 1.5 times larger than conventional Mini LED monitors. Essa superior LED density provides precise light control and effective elimination of the halo effect, a common problem in high-resolution screens. The model has received anti-blooming certification from TÜV Rheinland, validating its ability to minimize visual artifacts in high-contrast scenes.
The reduced design between panel and backlight suppresses light leakage. In AAA titles with demanding graphics, the technology allows intense explosions and starry skies to appear with clear separation between brightness and deep blacks. Detalhes critical in shooting and action games are more visible even in intense moments, offering a visual advantage without compromising immersion.
Upscaling AI and real-time scene optimization
UltraGear evo integrates Upscaling AI for 5K, which upscales on-screen content to native resolution without requiring a hardware upgrade or additional performance extraction from the GPU. The solution operates without extra latency, preserving the responsiveness expected in competitive games. Otimização, Cena by AI and Som by AI complement the experience, delivering image and audio automatically balanced according to the type of game.
LG’s artificial intelligence adapts the display to each title. Cinematic Cenas gains enhanced visual refinement, while competitive content maintains minimal latency and motion clarity. Users do not need to manually adjust image settings — the system does this in real time.
Modo Duplo switches between 5K/165 Hz and QHD/330 Hz
The monitor offers operating flexibility in two distinct modes:
- 5K at 165 Hz for visually impactful, cinematic gaming
- QHD (2560 x 1440) at 330 Hz for competitive titles and esports
- Tempo 1 ms GtG response in both modes
- Compatibilidade with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium
- Eliminação tearing and flickering in both configurations
Essa duality simultaneously serves gamers who prioritize visual fidelity and those seeking maximum refresh rate. The transition between modes is instantaneous, allowing quick adaptation depending on the type of game loaded.
Advanced Conectividade with DisplayPort 2.1 and USB-C
The 27GM950B includes DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) and USB-C port with 90W Power Delivery. Esses high-bandwidth connectors enable fast data transfer and laptop power through a single cable. Usuários switches between devices without additional configuration, making it easy to use with multiple computers and consoles on a single monitor.
Advanced connectivity also positions the model as a tool for content creators and professionals. 5K sharpness and color accuracy meet demanding visual tasks, expanding its scope beyond gaming to video editing, graphic design, and audiovisual production.
