Digital Eclipse and Atari have released a major update for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection which activates the Krossplay feature, allowing players from different platforms to face each other online. The functionality arrives accompanied by new game modes, variable refresh rate support and several technical fixes requested by the community since the launch of the collection.
Krossplay works between PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC, eliminating hardware barriers for online play. Jogadores can activate the function on Opções Online and compete in Jogo Rápido and Arcade Online modes, regardless of the console or computer they use. The feature is disabled by default, allowing each player to choose their preference.
Modo 2v2 online reaches the classics of the series
Quatro titles in the collection now support online matches with two fighters per team. Ultimate MK3 (Arcade), Ultimate MK3 (SNES), Mortal Kombat Trilogy (PS1) and Mortal Kombat 4 (Arcade) receive the new official mode, expanding the possibilities for competitive play. Antes of this update, 2v2 combats were restricted to offline mode.
The community used creative solutions to access these modes informally, but now they have official support from the developer. The room code system, implemented in a previous update, makes it easier for friends to meet up for these matches without the need for complex configurations.
