Ubisoft announced the launch of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced for PlayStation 5 on July 9, 2026. The remake brings the 2013 classic back with a completely updated look, improved graphics engine and significant adjustments to the gameplay system. Edward Kenway, the pirate turned assassin, returns as the protagonist with the original voice of Matt Ryan. The production brings the Caribbean adventure to a new technical level.

Preservação’s original story and scenarios

The game keeps the focus on Edward Kenway’s journey as captain of the Jackdaw, the vessel that enables Caribe’s naval attacks and exploration of the seas. Historical Personagens such as Barba Negra, Anne Bonny and Charles Vane are part of the plot, as well as the iconic locations of Nassau, Kingston and Havana. The busy streets, dense forests and sunny beaches faithfully recreate the Caribbean environment of the original version, while maintaining the single-player core of the adventure.

Darby McDevitt, original screenwriter, wrote extra scenes that expand the narrative. Caroline, Edward’s wife, gains more depth in the story. Outros characters also receive additional development, enriching the game’s universe.

Avanços technicians on the Anvil engine

The title utilizes the updated Anvil engine, allowing for more detailed facial expressions, fluid animations and denser crowds on land, sea and water. The PS5 Pro version takes advantage of advanced features, with PSSR delivering sharp images without visual instability. Enhanced ray tracing improves lighting in all game modes, from dynamic storms to the glow of ocean waves.

Jussi Markkanen, technical director at Ubisoft Singapore, highlighted the impact of PSSR in rendering natural elements like swaying palm trees and storms without visual artifacts. Nicolas Lopez, technical architect at Ubisoft Montréal, reinforced that the PS5 Pro combines high ray tracing with PSSR for an experience without compromising quality.

Sistemas refined gameplay

Parkour has gained significant refinements. Três consecutive jumps, back eject and side eject make movements more agile, allowing Edward to navigate the scenarios with greater fluidity. Combat has become more dynamic with extended combos, perfect parries and up to four takedowns in a row. Environmentally destroyable Elementos adds tactical impact to fights.

Stealth has also evolved with quick crouching facilitating approaches. Falhas chases or chat steals do not automatically restart missions. The target reacts contextually to the player’s mistakes, creating more immersive and less punishing situations.

  • Parkour with new jump types and side ejects
  • Combate with extended combos and environmental destruction
  • Stealth with quick crouch and contextual reactions
  • Ray improved tracing and PSSR for crisp rendering
