Samsung started the global distribution of One UI 8.5 this Monday (11) for the Galaxy S25 and other high-end models. The launch reaches Estados Unidos, Índia and several European countries as confirmed in the manufacturer’s official forums and online communities.

The update was previously released in Coreia from Sul for devices released before 2026. The start of global rollout indicates that Brasil could receive the new interface in a few days, following the release pattern that Samsung maintains across markets.

Principais new features of One UI 8.5

The interface remains based on Android 16 but brings significant changes focused on customization and artificial intelligence features. Galaxy S25 users gain access to tools that redefine the way their smartphone works and displays information.

The quick panel now allows full customization. Usuários can rearrange, add, or remove items as needed, adapting the experience to your daily workflow. AI image editing works through text prompts, allowing the phone to understand natural language commands to adjust photos.

On the lock screen, the option to overlay the clock icon over the wallpaper appears, creating a more integrated and personalized look. The battery panel gained more technical details, showing precisely which application consumes the most energy and at what times of the day.

Experience-changing AI Recursos

Call assistant now automatically answers calls for you. The functionality uses artificial intelligence to understand the context of the call and respond appropriately, reducing interruptions during work. Bixby has been revamped with generative artificial intelligence, making it better able to understand complex contexts and deliver more natural responses.

The Quick Share’s integration with Apple’s AirDrop represents a breakthrough in cross-ecosystem compatibility. Usuários Android and iOS can share files in a simplified way without relying on third-party applications.

The quick actions panel received a renewed interface with more editing options. Usuários finds greater control over which functions appear in the foreground and how they visually organize their quick access to settings.

Cronograma expected for Brasil

Samsung has not officially announced when One UI 8.5 will arrive on Brasil. Porém, recent history provides clear reference: One UI 8 was released globally on September 15th and reached Brasil three days later on September 18th.

Seguindo this standard, Brazilian distribution could begin between this Thursday (13) and the weekend, depending on approval from local regulatory bodies and Samsung’s infrastructure capacity for simultaneous distribution.

Atualmente on Brasil only devices launched in 2026 have the new interface. Isso includes the Galaxy S26 line and the intermediate Galaxy A37 and A57 models. Previous Celulares have not yet received any date confirmation.

Qual your Galaxy will receive the update

  • Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra (top priority)
  • Galaxy S24 and Ultra series models (second wave)
  • Galaxy A55 and Galaxy Tab S10 tablets (later groups)
  • Dispositivos launched before 2025 may face distribution delays

What changes in the control panel

The quick actions panel experience is completely transformed. Antes, users had limitations on how many items could fit and how to organize them. Agora the system offers more flexibility, allowing you to create multiple pages of custom controls.

The dashboard also integrates more directly visible technical information. Processor Temperatura, network connection speed, RAM usage and battery statistics appear in an organized way without needing to access deep settings.

Alguns users noticed that the interface responds faster when opening the panel, suggesting internal optimizations in the way Samsung structured the update for better performance even on devices that are years of use.

Impacto in the coming months

Samsung intends to expand One UI 8.5 to mid-range and entry-level models gradually. Phased rollout ensures that the company can monitor compatibility issues without overloading global rollout servers.

Usuários that have already received the update report a general improvement in speed and responsiveness. The changes are not just visual but reflect improvements to the underlying code that Samsung has developed over the past few months of testing.
