Instituto Nacional of Previdência Social of Itália identified a flaw in about 270 thousand Certificações Únicas sent to Agência of Receita. The addizionale comunale, a tax withheld monthly from pensions, did not appear in the tax documents. The problem mainly affects heirs of pensioners who died in 2025.

The institution has already transmitted the corrected versions to the tax authority. Taxpayers who access the documents in the next few days should find the data updated. Quem used the previous version for model 730 will receive communication about the change.

Falha technique leaves out municipal tax data

The error occurred in the section intended for addizionale comunale. Essa fee is deducted every month from the pension amount and must be included in the certification for the correct calculation of income tax. Segundo or INPS, most of the amounts involved are below 12 euros.

  • Omission does not change the amount withheld at source
  • Apenas registration in the pre-filled declaration was incomplete
  • The correction avoids problems when closing the annual declaration

The fault was detected after internal checks. The institute acted quickly to send the updated documents.

Herdeiros of deceased pensioners are in the center of correction

The case becomes more complex when it involves pensioners who died during 2025. The heirs responsible for declaring the deceased may have used the certification with missing data. INPS advises these taxpayers to check the most recent version available on the portal or in the cassetto fiscale.

Receita’s Agência is expected to complete updating the pre-populated statements in the coming days. Quem has already sent the 730 with the incorrect version and can make the rectification by the deadline in October. CAFs (tax assistance centers) must also receive lists for direct contact with those affected.

INPS reinforces that values are small in most cases

The institute highlighted that the amounts omitted are low. In the vast majority of situations, they are below the exemption limit of 12 euros. Mesmo therefore, the correction is necessary to ensure the accuracy of tax records.

Heirs should consult the most current Certificação Única. The adjustment process does not require immediate action from most taxpayers, but does recommend verification.

Contexto from other recent issues with certifications

Esta is not the first failure reported by INPS in 2026. Nas Previous weeks, around two million certifications of beneficiaries of Naspi, cassa integrazione and other aids showed incorrect code. The institute corrected the problem and retransmitted the documents.

In another episode, the INPS paid undue amounts to thousands of pensioners and began recovering them in installments from their paychecks. Esses cases reinforce the need for taxpayers to monitor official communications.

  • Verificar always the date of the last version of the CU downloaded
  • Consultar the fiscal cassetto of Receita for updates
  • Procurar CAF or professional for cases where a declaration has already been sent
  • Manter proof of access to the INPS portal

The institution reported that the error was of a technical nature and that corrective measures have already been completed in most of the records.

Orientação for those who need to rectify the declaration

Quem presented the 730 with the old certification and must wait for notice from Receita or the CAF. The law allows a single rectification until June 22 in certain cases. Depois Furthermore, the correction continues using the ordinary model until October. INPS recommends not ignoring notifications to avoid delays in reimbursement or undue charges.

The automatic adjustment to pre-filled returns should resolve most situations at no additional cost to taxpayers. Small amounts reduce the risk of material financial impact.
