The fastest, tallest and longest roller coaster in the world went into operation on December 31, 2025. Falcons Flight, located in the Six Flags Qiddiya City theme park, reaches a maximum speed of 250 km/h, has an elevation of 195 meters and is 4.3 kilometers long. The park is about 40 minutes from Riade, the capital of Arábia Saudita, in a planned area around Montanhas Tuwaiq.
The attraction took advantage of the natural desert landscape. The route winds around a cliff and includes a steep vertical drop. The route takes just over 3 minutes.
Recordes and technical specifications
The cart is driven up the 195 meter cliff, where it experiences a 160 meter drop. Depois, launch systems accelerate the vehicle up to 250 km/h. Afterwards, it passes through a “camelback hill”, a section with a steep rise and fall with a peak approximately 163 meters high.
Para contextualize the dimensions:
- The 195 meter cliff is equivalent to a 60-story building
- The speed of 250 km/h is reached by cars from Fórmula 1
- The 4.3 kilometers in length correspond to approximately 5 times the size of Burj Khalifa
- Altura minimum height of 1.30 meters is required to board
- Altura maximum allowed is 1.96 meters
- Para-windows at the front of each car protect against sand and high speeds
Intamin, the European company that manufactures the attraction, also created other world-renowned roller coasters. Kingda Ka previously held the rank of tallest and fastest in the world. Formula Rossa lost the speed record to Falcons Flight. VelociCoaster works on Universal Islands of Adventure, on Orlando, on Estados Unidos.
No Brasil, Intamin built Vurang, Hopi Hari’s roller coaster in the dark, and Super Gyro Tower on Parque Unipraias, on Balneário Camboriú.
Six Flags Qiddiya City and his park
The park was built through an investment of 3.75 billion Saudi riyals, approximately R$5.4 billion. Trata is the first Six Flags opened outside of América’s Norte. The site is home to 28 attractions spread across 6 themed areas, occupying 320,000 square meters.

Qiddiya City and future plans
Anunciada in 2017, Qiddiya City is part of the “Saudita 2030 Vision” strategy, a program to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil. The city was planned entirely in the desert as the country’s entertainment capital.
With more than 360 square kilometers, 20 districts and 12 theme parks are planned. Six Flags is the first of them. Outros projects include a water park, racetracks, Mercedes experience center and district dedicated to gaming and e-sports.
The plans also include golf courses, art centers and, considering the Copa of the Mundo of 2034, a stadium with advanced technology. The government projects a future population of approximately 500,000 people in the region.
