Falcons Flight, a roller coaster opened on December 31, 2025 at Six Flags Qiddiya City, holds 3 simultaneous world records: it is the fastest (250 km/h), the highest (195 meters) and the longest (4.3 kilometers) on the planet. The attraction is located approximately 40 minutes from Riade, capital of Arábia Saudita, integrated into the new theme park built from scratch on the slopes of Montanhas Tuwaiq.
The roller coaster was manufactured by the European company Intamin, the same one responsible for iconic attractions such as Kingda Ka and Formula Rossa, which lost its title of fastest to Falcons Flight. The journey takes just over 3 minutes and winds around a natural cliff, taking advantage of the local desert landscape.
Características techniques and operation
The cart is driven up the 195-meter cliff, equivalent to a 60-story building. From there, there is a drop of 160 meters with launch systems that reach 250 km/h, a common speed in Fórmula 1 cars. It then passes through a section called “camelback hill”, which combines a steep ascent and descent with a peak of approximately 163 meters.
Para protection, the carts have a front windshield in each carriage, shielding passengers against sand and high speeds. Visitantes must be at least 1.30 meters tall and 1.96 meters tall to board. The project cost 3.75 billion Saudi riyals, approximately R$5.4 billion.
Outras record-breaking park attractions
Six Flags Qiddiya City encompasses 28 attractions spread across 6 themed areas, totaling 320,000 square meters. Além from Falcons Flight, 4 other attractions achieved world records:

- Iron Rattler: tallest tilt roller coaster in the world, 63.4 meters, track inclined at 90 degrees
- Spitfire: tallest inversion roller coaster in the world, 73 meters, 127 km/h

Ingressos for one day of operation costs from 325 Saudi riyals, corresponding to approximately R$470.
Contexto from the Qiddiya City project
Six Flags Qiddiya City represents the first Six Flags-branded park opened outside of Norte’s América. Integra the ambitious Qiddiya City project, announced in 2017 as part of the “Saudita 2030 Vision” strategy, a government plan to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil.
Construída in the middle of the desert, Qiddiya City occupies more than 360 square kilometers and is fully planned as the entertainment capital of Arábia Saudita. The government projects a future population of around 500 thousand inhabitants.
The complex includes 20 master-planned districts and 12 theme parks. Além of Six Flags, a water park, race track, Mercedes center, gaming and e-sports district, golf courses, art centers and a super-technological stadium designed for Copa of Mundo of 2034, based at Arábia Saudita, are under development.
