Ana Cláudia Rodrigues Souza, 41 years old, was found alive on the second day of searches after being kidnapped and thrown off a cliff by Araújo’s ex-partner Silvanildo Amâncio, 52 years old, in Serra of Rola-Moça, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. The rescue took place on Tuesday (26), around 1:20 pm, with the help of a helicopter and teams from Corpo, Bombeiros Militar, and Minas Gerais. The victim remained missing since Monday.
Segundo police report, the man forced her into the vehicle by threatening her at her place of work. He then took her to a forested area and pushed her off the cliff, which is approximately 50 meters high. Conforme information from the police report provided to CNN Brasil by Itatiaia, the couple had a 12-year relationship and had a 9-year-old daughter. According to the victim, she had been stalked and threatened by her ex-partner since February this year.
