Among the devices presented, the Galaxy Z Fold8 stands out for its innovation. Opened, it is just 4.5 millimeters thick and has a 7.6-inch screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio, ideal for viewing videos.
The starting price for this model is $1,900.

The high prices of new products result from the rising costs of memory chips, whose demand is growing exponentially due to the strategic role of these components in the development of artificial intelligence. This market phenomenon has impacted the global supply chain.

Apple, in the previous month, justified the increase in the prices of its Macs and iPads by citing the same reason for the increase in component costs.
“Apple is about to do for foldable devices what it has done for every category it has entered: legitimize them for the mass market,” said Francisco Jeronimo of telecommunications analyst group IDC.
“Samsung needs to defend the category it created, which is why it cannot play it safe,” he added.
