Publisher SEGA and developer Creative Assembly announced Total War: SHOGUN 2 Complete Edition for PC on October 13, 2026, via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. The package combines the core historical strategy release with all downloadable expansions, graphical upgrades, and native 64-bit system architecture support.

Expanded campaigns and graphical upgrades

Players receive access to both the Rise of the Samurai and Fall of the Samurai historical campaigns, alongside rebuilt visual systems that introduce refined lighting, detailed shadow rendering, updated texture assets, modernized control inputs, and native resolution scaling tailored specifically for 1440p and 4K computer monitors.

Technical enhancements and community tools

The update introduces full audio voiceovers and text localizations in both Japanese and Chinese. Creative Assembly also incorporated direct modding capabilities through the Mod.io platform. Over 50 previously unplayable minor clans become fully controllable factions across the grand campaign map.
