Anvisa reiterates restrictions on specific Ypê batches and details the list of released and affected products

The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) released this Monday (15) a recent decision that establishes the continuity of the restriction for certain batches of disinfectants, dishwashers and clothes washers sold by Ypê.

This determination impacts goods produced at the beginning of 2026 by Química Amparo, the company responsible for Ypê, and arose due to irregularities found in the Good Manufacturing Practices procedures.

Published in the Official Gazette of the Union, the resolution prevents the sale, delivery and consumption of the items. Consumers with branded products in their homes should check the details below to identify whether any item purchased is among the suspended lots.

Ypê items with restrictions maintained by Anvisa

The ban imposed by Anvisa does not cover the brand’s entire portfolio, but rather specific groups of products, identified by the ending “1” in the batch number, which were produced before the months of March and April 2026. Below, a detailed list of the items:

• Disinfectants (Bak Ypê and Pinho Ypê varieties): all batches with ending “1” that were manufactured before March 1, 2026.
• Ypê dishwasher (including versions with active enzymes, traditional, concentrated Ypê Green, Ypê Clear and Toque Suave): all batches with ending “1” whose production took place before March 1, 2026.
• Tixan Ypê liquid laundry detergent (Combat Bad Odor, Care for Clothes, Antibac, Coconut and Vanilla, Green, Express, Power Act, Premium, Maciez, Primavera and Traditional editions): all batches with the ending “1” produced before April 1, 2026.

Motivation for the ban of products by the regulatory agency

The restrictive measure is the result of a health inspection carried out at the company’s manufacturing unit, located in Amparo (SP), which took place between April 27th and 30th of the current year. During the inspection, the agency detected non-compliance with the guidelines of RDC nº 47/2013, a regulation that establishes good practices for the production of sanitizing products.

It is important to highlight that Anvisa’s resolution does not detail the specific irregularities found in the production process nor does it mention any occurrence of harm to users’ health resulting from the use of the products.

Previously, the company had two of its production lines closed in May, however, after correcting the identified problems, it obtained permission to resume manufacturing the items after a new inspection.

However, the older batches depended on the analysis of technical reports, leading Anvisa to choose to maintain its suspension at this time.

Release of Ypê’s most recent manufacturing batches

Yes, goods that were produced in recent periods received authorization to be sold and used. Anvisa itself announced that the restriction applies exclusively to older product groups.

The technical reports provided by the industry attested to the full compliance of the recently produced units. Thus, the following are released to the consumer market:

• Disinfectants and dishwashers produced from March 1, 2026.
• Tixan Ypê liquid washing machine manufactured from April 1, 2026.

If you purchased products from the brand that were manufactured after these dates mentioned, you can use them without restrictions in your daily cleaning activities.

Official statement from the company Ypê about the new suspension

“Ypê clarifies that, on this date, Anvisa granted authorization for the use and sale of all liquid dishwashers and disinfectants with batches ending in “1”, manufactured in March 2026. Products produced from April onwards had already been released previously.

We also inform you that, also on this date, the results of the analysis reports, conducted by accredited laboratories, were submitted to Anvisa, referring to all batches ending in “1” manufactured in the months of January and February 2026 for the same products. We await the release of these items after the Agency’s evaluation.

It is crucial to highlight that, even with the delivery of reports for January and February, both consumers and clients must wait for official permission from Anvisa to resume the use and sale of these products. Until this occurs, items must remain isolated in a safe location.

LIQUID WASHERS – LOTS WITH ENDING “1”
Regarding liquid washing machines, if the consumer still has units manufactured by March 31, 2026, with batches ending in “1”, we ask that you contact our Consumer Service (SAC). The company will continue to exchange or refund these products. This expansion of the exchange and refund program was a decision in line with Anvisa, aiming to speed up the normalization of activities and improved service to consumers and customers. The liquid washing units that were produced from April onwards are duly released for sale and use.
