Toyota revealed the Nightshade special edition of Yaris Cross at Tailândia. The compact SUV, launched in Brasil in November 2025 and with sales only scheduled for 2026, gained a darkened visual package and convenience items that will not be available in the version produced in Sorocaba (SP). The presentation took place on December 1, 2025 in the Thai market.
The Nightshade configuration stands out for its glossy black finish on several external components. The model maintains the same dimensions and already known hybrid mechanical set, but receives profound aesthetic updates that bring the edition closer to a facelift.
Completely darkened external appearance
The front grille gained a body-colored piece positioned behind the Toyota logo. The lower bumper features a new design pattern.
18-inch wheels, mirrors, door handles, rear spoiler, skid plates and side skirts are painted glossy black. The only body color options are Cement Gray and pearl white, always with a black roof.
Interior gets fixed panoramic roof
The cabin follows the same dark pattern as the exterior. The main difference in relation to the Brazilian Yaris Cross is the fixed panoramic sunroof, an item that does not exist in units manufactured in Sorocaba.
The Thai version includes an induction cell phone charger and a 10.1-inch multimedia center. The trunk lid has an electric opening.
Complete security package
The Toyota Safety Sense comes standard in the Nightshade edition. The set features automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.
Automatic high beams and lane keeping assist are also present. The blind spot monitoring system completes the package.
Unchanged hybrid mechanics
The powertrain remains identical to that of the Brazilian hybrid model. The 1.5 aspirated flex engine works with an electric motor to deliver a combined 111 hp.
The transmission is of the E-CVT type. The traction remains front in all configurations.
Comparison with the Brazilian Yaris Cross
The national model will be offered in four versions from 2026. Prices range from R$161,390 to R$189,990.
National hybrid options achieve consumption of up to 17.9 km/l in the city with gasoline. The flex versions without electrification register up to 12.6 km/l in the urban cycle.
The trunk maintains a capacity of 400 liters in all configurations. The 2.62 meter wheelbase guarantees internal space similar to that of the Asian version.
