The reserves completed full training on the field, while the starters were restricted to the hotel gym, with the exception of goalkeeper Rossi. The activity marked the beginning of specific preparation for the clash against Pyramids FC, scheduled for Saturday (13), at 2pm (Brasília time).

Recovery of Pedro gains new stage

Pedro felt the injury to his left thigh during a match for Campeonato Brasileiro in November. Desde then, the striker missed Flamengo in the final rounds of the national competition and in the first matches of the season.

The evolution allowed him to accompany the group on the trip to Catar. Nos early days in Doha, the work remained internal and separate from the main cast.

This Thursday, the player took part in the collective session. The technical committee monitors the muscle’s response daily to define the next steps.

Differentiated activity for holders and reserves

The athletes who started the victory over Cruz Azul remained at the hotel undergoing physical recovery. The protocol included weight training and active regeneration sessions.

Only goalkeeper Rossi attended the training center for specific work. Ecuadorian Gonzalo Plata, a substitute in the last match, also stayed at the hotel carrying out preventive exercises.

The group was given time off after Wednesday’s game until Thursday morning. The schedule calls for just one more training session with the full squad on Friday.

Upcoming appointments define red-black calendar

Flamengo faces Pyramids FC on Saturday, at 2pm (from Brasília), at the Abdullah bin Khalifa stadium. The winner advances to the final against Paris Saint-Germain, scheduled for December 18th.

The technical committee evaluates the condition of Pedro daily for possible use in Catar. The short deadline for a decision increases the medical department’s caution.

Training structure follows post-game standard

The planning adopted repeats the model used after important games. Titulares prioritize muscle recovery while reserves maintain game rhythm.

This Thursday’s session lasted around an hour and a half for the reserves. The work included specific technical and tactical exercises for the confrontation against Pyramids.

The only training with the entire squad together takes place on Friday morning. The activity will be closed to the press for the first 15 minutes.

Presence of Pedro encourages technical committee

Filipe Luís closely followed the attacker’s progress throughout the activity. The coach spoke to the player at different times during training.

The medical staff established a gradual return protocol. Participation with the ball marks the transition from the internal phase to collective work.

Flamengo remains moderately optimistic about the possibility of counting on Pedro in the semi-final or eventual final. The physical response over the next 48 hours will be decisive.

Intense schedule requires careful management

If it advances, Flamengo will play two matches within five days at Catar. The sequence requires precise management of the training load.

The club transported a full physiotherapy and fitness team to Doha. Todo medical support remains available 24 hours a day at the hotel.

The delegation has 28 athletes listed for the tournament. The list includes replacement options for all attacking positions.

The gradual return of Pedro represents the main positive news in the red and black squad since arriving at Catar. The technical committee is waiting for the next few days to define the real possibility of using the center forward in the competition.
