Samsung officially announced the Exynos 2600, marking a significant advancement in semiconductor technology for mobile devices. Esse chipset becomes the first SoC for smartphones produced on the 2nm process with Gate-All-Around (GAA) technology, promising improvements in performance, energy efficiency and thermal management. The new processor enters mass production and is expected to power selected models from the Galaxy S26 line, scheduled for launch in early 2026.

The Exynos 2600 represents an evolution over its predecessor Exynos 2500, focusing on intensive tasks such as artificial intelligence and games. The company highlights notable gains in areas where previous versions faced criticism, such as excessive heating. Esse launch positions Samsung ahead of competitors in the use of the 2nm node for mobile devices.

The transition to the 2nm process allows for greater transistor density, which contributes to reduced energy consumption and increased processing speed. Especialistas point out that this innovation could influence the flagship market next year.

CPU Configuration

The Exynos 2600 adopts a 10-core architecture based on Arm v9.3, eliminating traditional low-power cores. Essa configuration includes a prime C1-Ultra core clocked at 3.8GHz, three high-performance C1-Pro cores at 3.25GHz, and six efficiency-optimized C1-Pro cores at 2.75GHz.

Samsung reports that this structure increases overall CPU performance by up to 39% compared to the Exynos 2500. Arm’s SME2 instruction support improves on-device processing of machine learning workloads, reducing latency in AI resources.

  • A C1-Ultra core at 3.8GHz for demanding tasks.
  • Three C1-Pro cores at 3.25GHz for performance balance.
  • Six C1-Pro cores at 2.75GHz focused on efficiency.

Advances in GPU and gaming

The Xclipse 960 GPU integrates with the Exynos 2600, offering twice the computational performance compared to the previous generation. The company reports improvements of up to 50% in ray tracing, essential for realistic graphics in mobile games.

Exynos Neural Super Sampling (ENSS) technology debuts on this chipset, using AI for resolution upscaling and frame generation. Isso results in smoother gameplay, with significant gains in frame rate without a high impact on battery consumption.

These enhancements target prolonged immersive experiences by refining the structure of energy domains for greater efficiency.

Focus on artificial intelligence

The Exynos 2600’s upgraded NPU unit delivers a 113% increase in generative AI performance compared to the previous model. Isso allows you to run complex models directly on the device, improving privacy and speed in functions such as image editing and intelligent assistants.

The chipset incorporates advanced security measures, including hardware-supported hybrid post-quantum encryption. Essas features protect sensitive data against future threats.

Camera and video resources

The integrated image signal processor (ISP) supports sensors up to 320MP, with zero shutter lag on 108MP captures. Video capabilities include 8K recording at 30fps and 4K recording at 120fps with HDR, plus APV codec support for higher quality.

A new Sistema of Percepção Visual detects fine details in real time, while the Redução of The ISP becomes up to 50% more energy efficient.

These tools enhance multimedia processing on smartphones equipped with the chip.

Innovative thermal management

The Samsung introduces the Heat Path Block (HPB), utilizing High-k EMC materials to optimize heat transfer. Essa solution reduces thermal resistance by up to 16%, enabling sustained performance at heavy loads without excessive throttling.

Heating issues in past generations of Exynos receive direct attention with this technology. The result maintains stability in prolonged sessions of intense use, such as games or AI processing.

Compatibility and expectations for devices

The Exynos 2600 supports LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.1 storage and 4K displays at 120Hz with HDR10+. Connectivity relies on a separate modem, maintaining flexibility in device designs.

Although the Samsung does not confirm specific models, the chipset is preparing for integration into Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus variants in select markets. Mass production has already begun, aligning with the company’s launch schedule for 2026.

This strategy reinforces the use of its own chips in part of the flagship line.

Other technical improvements

The architecture eliminates traditional little cores, prioritizing a combination of big and middle cores to balance peak performance and daily efficiency. Arm’s rich instruction support optimizes on-device AI workloads.

The GPU benefits from an ongoing partnership with AMD, although specific details are not disclosed. Recursos and ENSS position the chip for competitive gaming on mobile devices.

The focus on privacy includes hardware isolation for sensitive processes.
