The tradition of Epic’s annual promotions
Epic Games Store has been dedicated to distributing free games since its launch in 2018. The highlight of these initiatives is the holiday campaign, which generally offers daily games for around two weeks.
In previous campaigns, such as 2024, the platform distributed 17 titles, including names like Control and Ghostrunner 2, attracting millions of players. The initiative aims to attract new users and expand the digital store base.
Redeemed games remain available forever in the user’s library, even after the promotion ends. The company invests millions in deals with developers to make offerings viable and profitable.
Repercussion among players
The gaming community expresses great enthusiasm about the possibility of purchasing important titles for free. Fóruns like Reddit record heated debates about the authenticity of the leaked list, with some users pointing out inconsistencies, such as the absence of certain games in the store’s current catalog.
Others note that Epic has directly added titles as free in the past, which may justify some unexpected inclusions. The mention of Red Dead Redemption 2, in particular, generates both skepticism and anticipation, recalling previous high-impact offerings like Grand Theft Auto V. Expectations grow as the December 18th date approaches, at which point the community will be able to check off the first part of the list.
How to redeem free titles
The process for adding games to your digital library is simple and only requires an active Epic Games Store account. Users must access the store’s main page or directly search for the title on sale to initiate redemption. Após locate the game, simply click the “Get” option to begin the process, confirming the zero-value “purchase”, which permanently adds the title to your collection, available for immediate or later download without the need for any additional subscription.
No additional subscription is required to avail the offers. The promotion covers users from all over the world, allowing players from different regions to participate.
History of previous leaks
In past years, similar lists that circulated had partial success in their predictions. In 2024, for example, leaks correctly anticipated games like Dredge and Sifu, demonstrating that there is some basis for truth in some of this information.
However, changes may occur, as developers or Epic itself can adjust plans at any time. The company prioritizes the element of surprise to maximize the number of daily visits to the platform, maintaining suspense about upcoming offers.
Other offers and expectations
In addition to the daily mystery games, Epic Games Store is holding a huge end-of-year sale, with discounts of up to 75% on various titles. The Recompensas Epic program also allows users to receive 20% of the amount spent back in credits for future in-store purchases.
Additional free items regularly appear in popular games like Fortnite and Rocket League, complementing the main promotion. The full campaign of discounts and offers extends until January 2026, offering continued opportunities for gamers.
The community is eagerly awaiting the December 18th update to check out the first part of the leaked list. Caso the title matches the predictions, the credibility of the leak will increase in the following days, keeping players attentive to daily revelations.
