The local city hall has expressed unrestricted support, pledging to expedite the necessary permits for the project. The complex is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, injecting significant capital into Baixada Santista.

New era for Santos entertainment

The new complex will be strategically built at Rodovia Anchieta, ensuring easy access for visitors from the entire metropolitan region of São Paulo. The location was chosen to maximize convenience and the ability to attract a broad audience to scheduled events.

The centerpiece is a stadium with a capacity for 45,000 people, designed to host not only major sporting clashes, but also cultural spectacles and shows of national and international scope. Este equipment represents a qualitative leap in the city’s event infrastructure.

The synergy between sport and music will be a fundamental pillar, with the inclusion of a Hard Rock Hotel. Esta combination promises a differentiated experience, combining leisure, luxury accommodation and entertainment in a single destination.

Modern arena: technology and high capacity

The arena was meticulously designed to meet the rigorous standards of Fifa, standing out for its audience capacity that exceeds that of the traditional Vila Belmiro by three times. Este advancement will allow large-scale events to be held with cutting-edge infrastructure.

One of the most notable innovations is the retractable synthetic lawn, a technology that adds versatility to the space. Este system will make it possible to adapt the arena for football games, large concerts and corporate events, optimizing its use throughout the year.

Economic benefits for the Santos FC

For Santos Futebol Clube, the arrival of this complex represents a strategic opportunity to triple its annual box office revenue. Projections indicate a substantial increase, from R$20 million to approximately R$60 million.

The expanded capacity and modern infrastructure of the new stadium will allow the club to host a greater number of international competition matches, such as the Copa Libertadores. Este factor is crucial for the team’s projection on the continental scene.

In addition to ticket sales, new sources of income, such as the sale of the stadium’s naming rights, will strengthen the financial position of Santos. Tais resources will be essential to support future investments in the club’s squad and structure.

Preservation of tradition and logistics optimization

Although the new stadium is under construction, the historic Vila Belmiro will be fully preserved, maintaining its Santos Futebol Clube heritage status. The venue will undergo specific renovations to continue being a stage for smaller games and youth-category activities.

The strategy strikes a balance between valuing tradition and looking into the future. The logistics of the main squad will be significantly improved, with training facilities connected directly to the hotel complex, ensuring greater comfort and practicality for the athletes.

Hard Rock Hotel leisure experience

Integrated into the grand complex, Hard Rock Hotel Santos will offer its guests 402 rooms and suites. Cada accommodation will be themed, decorated with authentic memorabilia from famous artists, maintaining the chain’s high international standard of luxury.

The hotel’s infrastructure will be complete, focused on leisure and well-being. Incluirá a stunning infinity pool, which will provide panoramic views of the city and coastline, creating a relaxing and sophisticated environment.

A state-of-the-art spa will be available, offering various treatments and therapies for visitors to relax. The proposal is to guarantee a holistic experience that combines entertainment and personal care.

The gastronomic offer will feature fusion restaurants and bars that will host live shows. Estes spaces will complement the experience, consolidating the development as a complete destination for tourists and residents.

Details of the billion-dollar investment

The total investment of R$1 billion will be made possible by a robust consortium, made up of national and international capital. Essa diversification of funding sources guarantees the financial strength and long-term viability of the enterprise in Baixada Santista. A 40% portion, equivalent to R$400 million, will come from Arab investment funds, known for their experience in large infrastructure projects, such as the Copa, Mundo and Catar stadiums.

The majority of the budget, around R$600 million, will be allocated primarily to the construction of the multipurpose arena, which is the heart of the project. The remaining amount will be carefully applied to the construction of Hard Rock Hotel and the general infrastructure, covering living areas, parking and road access, ensuring that all components of the complex are of high quality.

Job generation and regional development

The complex at Santos is projected as one of the main catalysts for regional socioeconomic development, promising a significant impact on job creation. During the construction period, estimated at three years, the expectation is to generate 1,800 direct and indirect jobs, with a policy of prioritizing local labor, aiming to strengthen the community’s economy. Após opening, the project will maintain 1,700 permanent jobs, contributing to the economic sustainability of the region and offering career opportunities in various sectors, from hospitality and entertainment to event management and services.

Commitment to sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a fundamental pillar in the design of the complex, which will include the installation of solar panels to generate clean energy and an advanced system for capturing and reusing rainwater, aiming to reduce resource consumption and ecological impact.

Project execution schedule

With the environmental licenses in the final approval phase, preparation of the land is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, marking the effective start of activities at the construction site. Construction of the stadium’s foundations will begin in the second half of 2025, while the assembly of the large metal structure is scheduled to be completed in 2026, an important milestone in the progress of the work.

In parallel with the construction of the arena, the construction of Hard Rock Hotel will begin and be developed simultaneously. The finishing phase of both projects is projected for the year 2027, when the final details will be implemented. Antes of the official opening, which will take place in 2028, rigorous operational tests, including test events, will be conducted to ensure the safety and full functionality of all facilities.
