The official schedule for the payment of the PIS/PASEP salary bonus, referring to work activities carried out in 2024, was approved by Conselho Deliberativo from Fundo from Amparo to Trabalhador (Codefat). The measure establishes the transfer calendar that will benefit millions of private sector workers and public servants over the next year, following a staggered system to organize the flow of withdrawals.
With the definition, workers can now anticipate and check whether they meet the eligibility criteria, in addition to checking the exact dates for receiving the benefit. The organization of payments follows the traditional model: for PIS, release is based on the beneficiary’s month of birth, while for PASEP, the criterion used is the server’s final registration number.
The early publication of the calendar aims to offer greater predictability and transparency, allowing citizens time to correct any inconsistencies in their registration data that may prevent access to the resource. The salary bonus works as a fourteenth salary for many, representing a fundamental income supplement in the annual budget.
Who is eligible to receive the salary bonus
To be entitled to the salary bonus based on the year 2024, the worker must cumulatively comply with four requirements established by legislation. The absence of any of these criteria prevents you from receiving the amount.
The first criterion is to be enrolled in the PIS or PASEP programs for at least five years. Isso means that the worker’s first formal admission must have occurred by 2019.
It is also necessary to have worked with a formal contract for at least 30 days in 2024, whether consecutive or interspersed. Esse period is the basis for calculating the amount to be paid.
Furthermore, the worker’s average monthly remuneration during the period worked in 2024 cannot have exceeded the value of two minimum wages for that year. Finally, the worker’s data must have been correctly entered by the employer in Relação Anual of Informações Sociais (RAIS) or in eSocial.
How benefit value is determined
The amount of the salary bonus is calculated proportionally to the number of months worked during the base year. The calculation uses as a reference the value of the minimum wage in force in the year of payment, which in 2026 is R$1,621. Para To reach the final value, the national minimum is divided by 12, and the result is multiplied by the number of months in which the professional was formally employed. The legislation considers the fraction equal to or greater than 15 working days to be a complete month. Dessa way, a worker who worked for six months in 2024 will receive the equivalent of 50% of the minimum wage, totaling R$810.50. Apenas whoever worked during the 12 months of the base year will be entitled to the full value of the benefit, which corresponds to R$1,621. Essa rule ensures that the distribution of resources is fair and proportional to each individual’s length of service in the reference year.
Organization of payments for PIS
Caixa Econômica Federal is the financial institution responsible for managing and paying the PIS salary bonus, intended for private sector workers. The logistics for distributing funds are structured based on the beneficiary’s month of birth, a method that allows for a staggered flow of payments, avoiding overloads on service channels and ensuring a more fluid operation. The calendar details the start dates for the transfers for each group, with the first batches released in the early months of the year.
Workers who have a current, savings or digital account at Caixa receive the credit automatically on the scheduled date, without the need to carry out any additional procedures. Para the other beneficiaries, the amount is deposited in the digital social savings account, which can be used through the Caixa Tem application. Também it is possible to make withdrawals in person using Cartão Cidadão at self-service terminals, lottery agencies and Caixa Aqui correspondents.
Release details for PASEP beneficiaries
Payment of the salary bonus for public servants, known as PASEP, is administered by Banco of Brasil. The methodology for releasing resources differs from that used for PIS, based on the final digit of the server’s registration number in the program.
Servers who are account holders of Banco and Brasil receive the amount directly into their accounts on the date established in the calendar, automatically. Aqueles who do not have an account with the institution can transfer the amount to another bank they own via TED, free of charge, through ATMs or the bank’s online portal.
Official channels for checking the allowance
Checking eligibility for the salary bonus was simplified with the use of digital tools. The main consultation platform is the Carteira application by Trabalho Digital, available for download on mobile devices.
When accessing the application with the account Gov.br, the user finds the “Benefits” section, where they can select the option “Abono
In addition to the application, the consultation is also available on Portal Gov.br. Para to resolve specific queries, the Alô Trabalho call center, at number 158, offers direct support with Ministério of Trabalho and Emprego.
The employer’s responsibility in the process
The guarantee that the eligible worker receives the salary bonus is directly linked to the correct action of the employer. It is the responsibility of the company or public body to send accurate and punctual labor information through RAIS or the eSocial system.
Errors in filling out data, such as incorrect CPF, or delays in sending declarations can block payment, even if the worker meets all other requirements. Caso this occurs, the professional must contact the company’s Recursos Humanos sector to request rectification of the information from the government.
Pay attention to the withdrawal deadline
It is crucial that beneficiaries are aware not only of the release date, but also of the deadline for withdrawing the salary bonus. The amounts remain available for withdrawal until the last business day of December of the payment year. Caso the withdrawal is not made within this period, the resource is returned to Fundo from Amparo to Trabalhador (FAT) and the right to the benefit is lost.
