Sony confirmed a new wave of removals for the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium service catalogs, with eight games scheduled to leave the platform. Subscribers have until February 17, 2026 to enjoy the titles before they become unavailable without a one-time purchase. The update was made in the “Last chance to play” section of PlayStation Store, serving as a warning for players to end their campaigns or multiplayer matches.

The removal list includes a variety of genres, from critically acclaimed independent productions to major sports releases and RPGs. Essa content rotation is a standard practice of the subscription service, allowing the inclusion of new games monthly and keeping the catalog dynamic for users of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

Among the biggest names saying goodbye to the platform are the wrestling game WWE 2K25 and the popular indie Cult of the Lamb. The departure of these titles represents the last opportunity for many players to try them as part of their active subscription at no additional cost.

The complete list of exit titles

The list released by Sony encompasses games that cater to different player profiles, from those looking for a cyberpunk action adventure to those who prefer a classic Japanese RPG or an innovative puzzle. The February 17 deadline is the same for all eight titles, which are: WWE 2K25, the latest installment in the wrestling franchise; The Ascent, an action RPG with an isometric view in a dystopian world; Cult of the Lamb, which mixes sect management with roguelike action; SaGa Frontier Remastered, the updated version of the classic RPG from Square Enix; Rez Infinite, a rhythmic and sensory shooter with VR support; New World Aeternum, an MMO that will have its servers discontinued; Super Neptunia RPG, a role-playing game with a 2D art style; and Carto, a puzzle game where the player manipulates the map to progress.

Independent and action highlights

Two of the most talked about games on the list are Cult of the Lamb and The Ascent. The first, developed by Massive Monster, won over players for its unique premise of leading a cult of forest animals while exploring procedurally generated dungeons. Sua Addictive gameplay, which alternates between fast-paced combat and strategic management of your follower base, was widely praised and guarantees dozens of hours of content for those looking to complete all their tasks and challenges.

The Ascent, developed by Neon Giant, transports the player to the vibrant and dangerous world of Veles, a cyberpunk universe full of megacorporations and hostile creatures. The title stands out for its detailed graphics and immersive atmosphere, offering top-down shooter combat that can be enjoyed both solo and online cooperatively with up to four players. Character progression, with various weapons and cybernetic enhancements, is one of its main attractions.

Options for RPG fans

RPG enthusiasts have two distinct options saying goodbye to the service. SaGa Frontier Remastered is an opportunity to revisit or get to know a classic from the first PlayStation era. The game is known for its non-linear system, allowing the player to choose between multiple protagonists, each with their own story and journey. Esta remastered version includes graphical improvements, content that had been cut from the original version and features that modernize the experience.

On the other hand, Super Neptunia RPG offers a lighter, more humorous approach to the genre. With a 2D visual style reminiscent of anime, the game parodies the video game industry itself. Sua gameplay is based on turn-based battles and platform exploration, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a more relaxed campaign with dialogues full of references to gamer culture.

Audiovisual experiences and puzzles

Rez Infinite stands out as a unique sensory experience. Trata is an on-rails shooter where every shot and enemy destroyed is synchronized with a pulsating electronic soundtrack. The game can be enjoyed conventionally or with PlayStation VR for even greater immersion, transforming gameplay into a synesthetic journey. Sua campaign is short but highly replayable.

For those who prefer a more cerebral challenge, Carto is an adventure and puzzle title with a creative core mechanic. The protagonist has the power to rearrange parts of the map, altering the world around her to open new paths and encounter characters. With a charming art style and a welcoming narrative, it’s a relaxing and intelligent experience that can be completed in just a few hours.

The particular case of New World Aeternum

The presence of New World Aeternum in the output list has an important peculiarity. The Amazon Games MMORPG will have its console servers completely deactivated on January 31, 2027. The game has no longer been available for purchase since the beginning of 2026, which makes its availability on the PlayStation Plus one of the last chances for players to explore the world of Aeternum before its definitive closure.

The dynamics of the PlayStation Plus catalog

Game rotation is a key component of subscription services like PlayStation Plus. Títulos are licensed for a specified period and, at the end of the contract, can be removed to make way for new additions. Essa strategy ensures that the catalog remains updated and offers subscribers constant news.

Sony uses the “Last Chance to Play” section on PlayStation Store as its main communication tool for these changes. Isso allows players to plan to test the games that interest them before the deadline.

It is important to remember that, unlike the monthly games on the Essential plan, titles from the Extra and Premium catalogs are not permanently associated with the user’s account. Once removed, access is lost, even if the game has been downloaded and installed on the console.

The company has also adjusted its strategy to increasingly focus on native PlayStation 5 titles, although PlayStation 4 games remain an important part of the service, with many of them playable on the latest console through backwards compatibility.

News that balance outputs

While some games are saying goodbye, others of great caliber have recently been added to the service, reinforcing the value of the subscription. One of the main highlights is Resident Evil Village, the eighth main entry in Capcom’s acclaimed survival horror series. The game continues the story of Ethan Winters in a mysterious and terrifying village.

Another weight addition was Like to Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The latest chapter in the franchise formerly known as Yakuza expands the saga with a new adventure in Havaí, bringing back the protagonists
