Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially revealed the list of titles that will be part of the PlayStation Plus monthly catalog next month, bringing a diverse selection to subscribers. The new offer will be available for redemption from the first Tuesday of February, the 3rd, and includes four distinct experiences ranging from high-fidelity sports simulation to survival adventures in hostile environments. The company maintains its strategy of offering added value to service members, allowing games to remain in the user’s library as long as the subscription is active.
The highlight of the selection is the variety of genres, including fans of combat sports, military aviation enthusiasts, players who enjoy science fiction narratives and admirers of independent games with unique aesthetics. The catalog update covers both the current generation console and previous hardware, ensuring that a broad base of players can enjoy the new features without additional costs beyond the monthly service fee.
The confirmed titles for the period are Undisputed, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Subnautica: Below Zero and Ultros. Cada game brings unique mechanical proposals, from oxygen and temperature management on alien planets to the technical precision required in boxing rings. Game availability will extend until March 2, offering a four-week window for users to complete the process of adding to the digital library.
Realism in the rings and aerial battles
One of the main names on the list is Undisputed, developed by Steel City Interactive, which seeks to fill a gap in the boxing game market with an approach focused on authentic simulation. The title differentiates itself from arcade fighting games by implementing an advanced physics system and movement mechanics that require strategy and patience from the player. The cast has more than 70 licensed boxers, including historical legends and current champions, allowing for clashes that span different eras of the sport.
The experience on new generation consoles promises greater immersion through the use of haptic feedback, simulating the impact of blows and the athletes’ fatigue during rounds. The career mode was designed to be comprehensive, putting the player in control not only of the fights, but also of contract negotiations and technical team management, offering a complete behind-the-scenes view of professional boxing.
In the air combat sector, Bandai Namco is present with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which puts players in the cockpit of the most advanced combat aircraft in the world. The franchise is known for balancing a cinematic narrative with precise gameplay, and this chapter is no exception, featuring fictional nations in conflict and missions that require dexterity in dynamic aerial combat and tactical bombing.
An important difference in this version is the inclusion of exclusive missions developed for virtual reality. Users with compatible equipment can experience superior immersion, viewing the battlefield from inside the cockpit in 360 degrees, which adds an extra layer of depth to the series’ traditional gameplay.
Ice survival and psychedelic exploration
For players who prefer survival and science fiction challenges, Subnautica: Below Zero expands the universe created by its predecessor with a new setting. The story takes the player back to planet 4546B, but this time to an unforgiving arctic region. The change of scenery introduces new temperature mechanics, forcing the protagonist to manage body heat while exploring frigid oceans and frozen surfaces.
The narrative follows a scientist who investigates the disappearance of a research team, unraveling mysteries about ancient alien technologies. The game cycle involves the constant collection of resources, the construction of complex underwater habitats and the development of equipment to deal with the local fauna, which is more aggressive and adapted to extreme cold.
Completing the package of new features is Ultros, an independent production that stands out for its vibrant and surrealist art direction. The game is a metroidvania set in a cosmic sarcophagus, where the player finds himself trapped in a time loop. The core mechanics revolve around exploration and combat, but it introduces a space gardening system that lets you grow plants to open up new paths and access abilities.
Ultros’s proposal goes beyond action, touching on themes of mental health, life cycles and rebirth. The atmospheric soundtrack and hand-drawn graphics create a unique identity, setting it apart from conventional platform adventures and offering subscribers a more contemplative and enigmatic experience.
Redemption procedures and deadlines
Sony reinforces the need for subscribers to manually redeem games through the PlayStation Store, whether via the console, mobile application or web browser. Once added to the library, titles remain accessible indefinitely, as long as the subscription to the PlayStation Plus service is kept active. Caso the subscription is interrupted, access is blocked and will only be reestablished upon renewal.
The redemption period begins on Tuesday, February 3rd and ends on Monday, March 2nd. The company recommends that users do not leave it until the last minute, thus ensuring that the monthly benefit is not lost due to forgetfulness or connection problems at the end of the term.
Last chance for the current catalog
With the imminent arrival of new games, Sony issued an alert for players to redeem the titles offered in the previous month. The current selection will leave the free catalog next Monday, prior to the update of the online store. It is crucial to check that the redemption process has been completed so as not to lose the monthly benefit, as it is not possible to recover free games after catalog rotation.
The February update follows the company’s pattern of balancing major productions with critically acclaimed independent games, seeking to cater to a user base with heterogeneous preferences. The inclusion of titles with VR support and specific features of the new generation also demonstrates the interest in valuing the hardware of the PlayStation ecosystem.
