The exterior features more muscular lines with fenders widened by 145 mm, resulting in a total width of 1,880 mm. The height has been reduced by 20 mm to emphasize the low center of gravity and improve cornering stability. Aerofólio Prominent rear end and NISMO-exclusive 18-inch wheels contribute to the sporty appearance.
Elements such as larger brakes with opposing four-piston calipers at the front and two at the rear ensure adequate braking capacity for the increase in performance. Total weight reaches 1,490 kg, around 100 kg more than the standard version due to structural modifications.
Advanced propulsion system
The heart of the concept lies in the adoption of the X-Trail NISMO powertrain. The 1.5-liter VC Maximum torque also increases considerably compared to the conventional Aura NISMO.
This series hybrid configuration allows for quick acceleration and optimized all-wheel drive. The rear suspension maintains a torsion beam to preserve agility, but receives NISMO adjustments to support the demands of high performance.
Focus on NISMO technology
NISMO applied competition knowledge to refine the concept, prioritizing a balance between power, handling and safety. Componentes of mass production were combined with motorsport innovations to test possibilities in the electric and hybrid segment.
The project explores new frontiers for electrified hot hatches, with an emphasis on driving excitement. The brand seeks to expand the NISMO line with models that convey passion and technical excellence.
Expectations for future production
Although still in the conceptual phase, the Aura NISMO RS serves as the basis for possible commercial versions. The Nissan indicates that the model can evolve into a complete high-performance car, in line with the strategy of expanding the NISMO offering.
The concept was well received at the auto show, with enthusiasts highlighting the potential for an affordable and powerful compact hot hatch in the Japanese market.
Highlighted technical details
Specifications include lowered suspension and chassis reinforcements to handle the increased power. Freios upgraded and high-performance tires round out the package.
The interior design maintains NISMO elements, with a focus on ergonomics and a sporty feeling behind the wheel.
The concept demonstrates Nissan’s commitment to innovation in electrified mobility.
