The Chinese technology giant officially announced the arrival of its latest device aimed at the high-performance segment at an event held in Pequim. The device marks a new stage in the strategic collaboration with the German company Leica, integrating advanced optical solutions since the project’s conception.

Innovations in the image capture system

The highlight of the launch lies in the rear photographic set, which has been meticulously calibrated to offer professional results. The main sensor uses 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L technology, designed to deliver high dynamic range even in scenes with complex or poor lighting.

Para To complement the experience, the device introduces a 200-megapixel telephoto lens capable of continuous optical zoom. The lens has received Leica APO certification, ensuring the reduction of chromatic aberrations through the use of custom glass in the optical construction.

  • 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 115-degree expanded field of view.
  • Optical stabilization on the main sensor with high light transmission Summilux lenses.
  • Periscopic telephoto lens system equipped with movable prism for agile and precise focusing.

Todo the system operates under the Leica UltraPure architecture, developed to minimize unwanted reflections and ghosting effects, ensuring the integrity of captured images.

Ergonomic design and certified resistance

The structure of the new model presents a significant evolution in terms of ergonomics, adopting a thinner body just 8.29 millimeters thick. The manufacturer chose to abandon the curved screens of past generations in favor of a flat display, which improves grip and balance during daily use.

The camera module, although powerful, has been redesigned to occupy a higher and more comfortable position at the rear. Além of aesthetics, durability has been reinforced with IP66, IP68 and IP69 certifications, offering comprehensive protection against dust ingress and submersion in water.

Hardware performance and autonomy

At the heart of the device operates the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which works together with the Adreno 840 GPU to handle intense graphics tasks. Para maintain controlled temperature, a 3D Dual-Channel IceLoop cooling system was implemented, which promises thermal conductivity higher than the market average.

Autonomy is guaranteed by a robust 6,800 mAh battery. The power system supports 90W fast cable charging and 50W wireless charging, allowing the user to spend less time tethered to the socket.

The 6.9-inch AMOLED display not only delivers vibrant colors, but also reaches a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Frontal protection is provided by Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0 glass, developed to withstand impacts and falls more efficiently than conventional tempered glass.

Special edition and market values

An exclusive version, called “by Leica”, features a different textured leather finish and a physical ring called Master Camera Ring. Este component allows tactile manual adjustments of exposure and zoom, simulating the operation of classic cameras from the German brand.

Regarding costs, the standard model hits Chinese stores with a starting price of 6,999 yuan for the 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage configuration. Já the special edition starts at 7,999 yuan. Até At this time, no information has been released about global availability or prices for other territories.

The device’s ecosystem has also been expanded, offering unprecedented compatibility with devices from other brands, such as the Apple, allowing cross-control between the smartphone and devices such as iPads and Macs. Connectivity is ensured by recent technologies such as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
