Casio expanded its professional Master of G line with the official presentation of the Mudmaster GG-B100X, a device designed to withstand adverse scenarios and serve rescue teams. The equipment introduces an unprecedented structure that combines carbon fiber and resin to guarantee durability in emergency operations, without sacrificing the lightness necessary for prolonged use in the field. The implementation of this material in the chassis represents a significant technical evolution, offering high protection against severe impacts and structural deformations.
Engineering focused on durability and sealing
The central technology of the launch is the Carbon Core Guard, which uses a case reinforced with carbon fiber, a material superior to many metals in tensile strength. The system includes special filters inserted between the buttons and the housing, creating an airtight barrier against mud and dust, common elements in the environments for which the model was designed. Essa sealing ensures that the functionality of the controls remains intact even under extreme dirty conditions.
The utilitarian design takes aesthetic inspiration from off-road vehicles and expedition equipment, featuring a bezel that mixes carbon and fine resin. The back of the watch has a double-layer construction, combining stainless steel and fiberglass-reinforced resin. Essa composition increases resistance to mechanical shock and maintains seal integrity for water resistance of up to 200 meters.
Environmental monitoring and connectivity
The device’s operating system integrates four compact sensors responsible for monitoring compass, atmospheric pressure, altitude, temperature and step count. The combination of these metrics allows a detailed reading of environmental conditions and the user’s physical effort during missions. The accelerometer works together with other sensors to provide accurate data on caloric expenditure and activity.
Bluetooth connectivity expands the watch’s capabilities by synchronizing it with the brand’s proprietary app. The mission log function uses the paired smartphone’s GPS and altitude data from the watch to map routes taken. Adicionalmente, the second hand can indicate the direction and distance from a previously recorded location point, serving as an auxiliary navigation tool in places with reduced visibility.
Technical details and distribution
The Mudmaster GG-B100X has dimensions of 55.4 mm wide and 19.3 mm thick, keeping the weight at approximately 104 grams due to the use of lightweight materials. Autonomy is guaranteed by a CR2025 battery with an estimated useful life of two years, complemented by a high-brightness dual LED lighting system to facilitate nighttime reading.
The model hits the international market with color options in khaki and orange, tones traditionally associated with security and rescue uniforms. Suggested values for the European market vary between 399 and 419 euros, while for the Reino Unido the price was set at 349 pounds. Global distribution is scheduled to reach authorized dealers and stores specializing in tactical equipment in the coming weeks.
