The Ministério of the Educação (MEC) gave the green light for the start of bank transfers relating to the basic school completion bonus and participation in the Desde last Wednesday, eligible students began to identify the amounts in their digital accounts, marking a new phase of public policy aimed at reducing school dropouts. The total amount can reach R$1,200 per student, including the bonus for final approval and the incentive for attendance on the two test days of the national exam.
The financial operation, carried out by Caixa Econômica Federal, follows a staggered organization based on the month of birth of the beneficiaries. The payment cycle was planned to occur quickly, expected to close on March 5th, ensuring that all eligible young people receive the resources within the deadline stipulated by the federal government. Para have access to money, it is essential that education networks have correctly sent completion and attendance data.
This measure aims not only to reward academic effort, but also to offer strategic financial support for young people who are in the transition between school and the job market or higher education. The validation of information depends directly on the state and municipal education departments, which feed the MEC system with approval and enrollment records.
Detailed deposit schedule
To organize the flow of access to the banking application and avoid instability, the government defined specific dates for each group of students. The release of resources follows the following order, depending on the student’s birthday:
– Janeiro and February: payment released on February 26;
– Março and April: payment released on February 27th;
– Maio and June: payment released on March 2;
– Julho and August: payment released on March 3;
– Setembro and October: payment released on March 4;
– Novembro and December: payment released on March 5th.
If the student finds that the amount was not deposited on the scheduled date, the advice is to wait for the next system updates. Processing depends on confirmation of school data, and the MEC foresees residual batches to cover situations where information was sent late by schools.
Criteria and account movement
The amounts are automatically credited to digital social savings accounts, which can be operated exclusively through the Caixa Tem application. Essa fee-free account modality allows the student to make payments, transfers via Pix and withdrawals at self-service terminals. Flexibility in the use of resources is one of the central points of the program, allowing the beneficiary to decide how to best apply the money, whether for future educational costs or immediate personal needs.
To guarantee eligibility, the student must have attended high school in a public school or be a full scholarship holder in a private network, in addition to being enrolled in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico). The required consideration includes a minimum school attendance of 80% and approval at the end of the school year. In the specific case of the Enem bonus, proven presence on the two days of the test is the determining criterion for the release of the additional R$200.
Forecast for the current academic year
In addition to payments for the completion of the previous cycle, Ministério of Educação has already structured the calendar for the current academic year. The forecast is that regular attendance and enrollment incentives will begin to be paid from April, extending until the beginning of next year. The adjusted schedule seeks to align transfers with the reality of regional school calendars, which often vary.
The monthly attendance incentive installments will continue to be R$200, paid in nine installments throughout the year. Para new students or those continuing in high school, the recommendation is to keep registration data updated with the school secretariat and monitor the situation through the program’s official channels. The continuity of the benefit is linked to the maintenance of school regularity and the socioeconomic criteria established in the program legislation.
