Lincoln plans to launch a luxury SUV with a wider chassis based on the Ford Bronco platform to compete directly with models such as the Mercedes-Benz Classe G and the Land Rover Range Rover. El double-seat vehicle will combine robust off-road capability with the premium craftsmanship typical of the Lincoln brand, including refined materials and advanced comfort technologies. Fontes indicates that the launch will take place between 2029 and 2030, possibly anticipating elements of the next generation of Bronco, scheduled for 2031.

The El design uses the body structure on the Bronco frame to guarantee resistance on uneven terrain and a high towing capacity. The La bodywork will adopt an exclusive design, with smoother lines and a stylized front in line with the visual identity of the Lincoln, similar to the Navigator, but with compact proportions. The approximate size is similar to the current Nautilus, with a length of approximately 4.8 meters and a distance between surrounding wings of 114 inches.

El premium positioning leads to high prices, possibly above US$ 94 thousand of the current Navigator and in the range of US$ 115 thousand of the basic Range Rover. The Esse value reflects the focus on the Black Label finish, with high-standard interiors and extended range hybrid systems (EREV), where the combustion engine acts as a generator for greater efficiency.

Off-road platform and capabilities.

The technical base of the Bronco provides advanced 4×4 traction and suspensions for trails. El new SUV will maintain these attributes, but with a calibration oriented towards comfort in daily urban use.

Elements such as selectable driving modes and terrain management systems will adapt to the premium audience. La rigid structure allows for greater durability in extreme conditions compared to unibody SUVs.

Design and visual differences.

The interior will receive noble materials, such as premium quality leather and wooden or aluminum inserts. Telas Amplios state-of-the-art digital driver assistance systems complete the luxury package.

Positioning in the market and competitors.

The model fits into the growing luxury off-road SUV segment, where its rivals combine robustness with a high status. El Mercedes-Benz Classe G maintains an iconic tradition, while the Range Rover offers versatility on different terrains.

El Lincoln seeks to differentiate itself with American refinement and hybrid propulsion options. The SUV could influence the current range, potentially affecting up to Nautilus in terms of size and intended use.

Strategy from Ford to Lincoln

The initiative forms part of the strategy to revitalize the premium division, creating an emotional and differentiated product. El development of EREV technologies focuses on larger vehicles with payload and towing capacity.

Production can take place in adapted factories, in line with the transition to electric models and other lines. El project reinforces the separation between available electric vehicles and hybrid or premium fuel options.

Expected timeline

Development progresses according to internal sources, without official confirmation by the car manufacturer. La closes 2029-2030 limit allows integration of future generation Bronco components.

The updates of the current Bronco, like those of 2026, do not directly affect the Lincoln project. El launch will coincide with market trends for off-road hybrid SUVs.

engine options

Although specific details remain limited, the transfer of the EcoBoost engine from the Bronco, with four cylinders and turbocharged V6, is expected. Los hybrids Versões EREV must predominate to satisfy efficiency and performance demands.

La Permanent total traction and lockable differentials will maintain the off-road essence. The attention to interior silence and acoustic insulation differentiates the model from the standard Bronco model.
