Motorola officially entered the book-shaped foldable smartphone segment during Mobile World Congress, held in Barcelona. The manufacturer presented the Razr Fold, a device that aims to transform mobile productivity by combining an 8.1-inch internal screen with hardware components focused on high performance. The event also served as the stage for the unveiling of the Edge 70 Fusion, which updates the brand’s midrange family with innovations in design and image capture.
Technical specifications and energy autonomy
The Razr Fold arrives on the market equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, developed to support intense multitasking and cutting-edge games without compromising the system’s fluidity. The internal screen offers a peak brightness of 6200 nits, a feature also present on the external display, which ensures complete visibility even in direct sunlight and supports Dolby Vision technology.

One of the model’s main technological advances is the adoption of a 6000 mAh battery based on silicon-carbon. Essa chemical composition allows storing a greater amount of energy in a reduced physical space, maintaining the device’s thin profile. The management system supports fast charging of 80W via cable and 50W wirelessly, ensuring that the consumption of high-brightness screens does not affect daily autonomy.
The set of rear cameras seeks consistency in image capture, integrating three sensors of 50 megapixels each, divided between the main, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto functions. The structure of the device has been reinforced at the hinge and includes support for the Pen Ultra stylus pen, facilitating professional use in split-screen mode.

Midline renovation
The Edge 70 Photography specs include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX710 main sensor for increased light input, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel front camera optimized for video calls, plus improved stabilization for 4K videos.
The global version of the device uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, balancing efficiency and performance. Contudo, there will be a hardware variation for specific markets, such as the Índia, where the model will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and an expanded 7000 mAh battery to meet local energy consumption demands.
Strategic partnerships and data security
The company announced important collaborations, including the creation of the color “House of Moto Indigo” in conjunction with Pantone, which will be applied throughout the brand’s visual identity. The partnership with Fifa for the Copa of the 2026 Mundo resulted in limited editions of the new devices, which feature the tournament logo in 24-karat gold and exclusive digital content for football fans.
On the security front, Motorola signed an agreement with GrapheneOS Foundation to integrate privacy-focused operating systems into corporate devices. The Moto Secure feature has been updated to automatically remove sensitive metadata such as location and date from shared photographs, while the Moto Analytics uses artificial intelligence to monitor the health of devices in enterprise fleets.
Availability and accessories
The Razr Fold will be sold on the European market with a suggested price of 1999 euros, positioning itself in the ultra-premium range. Global distribution will occur in a staggered manner, with América expected to arrive at Norte in the summer of 2026. Para To complement the ecosystem, the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2
