Technology company Augment AI has announced the official start of the crowdfunding campaign for its latest wearable device. The action was made available on the Japanese platform Green Funding and quickly attracted the attention of enthusiasts in the electronics sector. The product is classified by developers as the smallest smart watch in the world within the category of devices equipped with a one-inch color screen or larger dimensions.

The financial performance in the first hours of availability established a new benchmark for the crowdfunding market in the Asian country. The initial target set at ten million yen was completely reached within just four minutes of opening the system, which occurred promptly at eleven o’clock in the morning local time. Esse volume of simultaneous accesses and contributions highlighted the high pent-up demand for hybrid solutions in the wrist accessories segment.

The speed of fundraising continued at a rapid pace throughout the platform’s first hour of operation. In exactly forty minutes of campaigning, the total amount raised surpassed the one hundred million yen mark, setting the absolute record for financing speed in the history of Green Funding. The mobilization of supporters maintained the growth curve, and the system records showed that, at fourteen hours and seventeen minutes of the same day, the value had already accumulated one hundred and seventy million yen.

The fundraising period will remain active for new interested parties over the next few months, with the official closing scheduled for June 17th. The launch strategy aims to guarantee the necessary capital for large-scale production, in addition to validating public acceptance of the new format of the smart device that promises to transform the use of traditional accessories.

Integration of modern technology with traditional aesthetics

The central concept that guides the development of the new line is based on preserving the visual identity of classic mechanical watches, adding connectivity features in an imperceptible way. The smart module is designed to be attached directly to the user’s favorite accessory bracelet, replacing the traditional clasp with a high-precision electronic component. Essa approach solves a common dilemma among consumers who appreciate haute horlogerie, but who also need the facilities provided by contemporary mobile devices in their daily routines.

With the installation of the equipment, the analog clock starts to perform complex tasks of an authentic state-of-the-art device. Users gain the ability to make electronic contactless payments at commercial establishments, receive instant notifications from messaging apps and manage health data. Tudo this occurs without the original dial undergoing any type of aesthetic change, maintaining the elegance of the item while the individual’s wrist transforms into a center for processing data and digital interactions.

Proprietary operating system and energy efficiency

The device’s software engineering is supported by wena OS, an operating system specifically developed to maximize energy efficiency in small form factor hardware. The program’s architecture was structured to ensure that essential functions remain active continuously, without requiring daily battery recharges.

Monitoring body metrics represents one of the pillars of this optimized system. The integrated sensors constantly read heartbeats, record the number of daily steps and provide detailed mapping of sleep cycles, delivering accurate reports on the user’s physical well-being.

Corporate trajectory and restructuring of the technical team

The product design carries a unique corporate history in the Asian technology market. Augment AI currently operates as an independent business entity, but its roots are deeply tied to one of the world’s largest electronics conglomerates.

The team responsible for creating the device is made up of the same engineers and designers who started the original project within the Sony facilities. The transition to an autonomous operation occurred after a formal process of acquiring patents and rights to use the brand.

Under the leadership of executive director Teppei Tsushima, the new company gained agility in decision-making and freedom to explore new financing formats. Essa corporate independence allowed exclusive focus on improving component miniaturization technology.

Physical demonstration strategy in commercial centers

To make the user experience tangible before the final delivery of the products, the manufacturer structured a schedule of in-person exhibitions. The initiative seeks to bring consumers closer to the technology embedded in the smart module.

Several department stores and technology centers in Japão were selected to house the demonstration totems. The itinerary includes high-traffic establishments, such as Tsutaya Electrics+ located in the Futako-Tamagawa neighborhood.

Other strategic points also received test units from the first day of the fundraising campaign. Entre confirmed locations are SHIBUYA TSUTAYA, Livraria Tsutaya in Fukuoka Tenjin and the Livraria Tsutaya unit in the Umeda region.

In these dedicated spaces, visitors have the opportunity to handle the equipment, evaluate the texture of the materials used and test the fitting mechanism. Physical interaction is considered fundamental to prove the ergonomics of the product when coupled with different thicknesses of bracelets.

Confirmed participation in digital innovation event

The device’s release calendar includes a prominent presence at Shibuya Tech Festival, one of the most relevant innovation meetings in the Japanese capital. A working prototype was scheduled for public display on the twenty-first and twenty-second of March, in the event space known as 404 Not Found.

The festival program reserves a specific moment for technical in-depth analysis of the project. On the twenty-second, CEO Teppei Tsushima will lead a detailed talk, addressing the engineering challenges overcome during development and the market prospects for the wearable product line.

Advances in the miniaturization of electronic components

The title of the world’s smallest smartwatch in its category is not just a selling point, but the result of years of research in microelectronics and advanced industrial design. The extreme miniaturization achieved by the Augment AI required the complete reconfiguration of the printed circuit board and the adoption of high-density batteries custom-molded into the device’s chassis. Essa compression allows the device to be used uninterruptedly twenty-four hours a day, adapting to different usage scenarios. Além functions as a smart complement to traditional luxury watches or sports models, the module is designed to operate completely independently. Quando unlinked from an analog watch, it acts as a minimalist smart bracelet, ideal for intense physical activity or nighttime monitoring, situations in which the weight and volume of a conventional watch could cause discomfort to the user. The one-inch color screen, despite its reduced dimensions, uses high contrast technology to ensure legibility of information under direct sunlight, proving that the size reduction did not compromise the usability of the graphical interface.

Continuity of collection and market expansion

The flow of contributions on the Green Funding platform remains active, consolidating the commercial viability of the project on a global scale. Consumers interested in purchasing the first production units continue to access the system to guarantee the exclusive rewards offered to pioneering supporters of this hybrid technology.
