Modern interior with large screens and AI assistant

In the cabin, the driver will find a two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, an 8.9-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.6-inch floating multimedia screen with 2.5K resolution. The system operates on the Qualcomm SA8295 chip and includes the artificial intelligence-based Qwen voice assistant.

A highlight is the module called IP BAR, located below the central screen. Esse modular space allows the installation of accessories such as ambient lighting, aroma diffuser, wireless charger or even humidifier, depending on the owner’s preference. The integration of these items seeks to personalize the onboard experience.

The finish prioritizes resistant materials and ergonomic layout of the controls. The Leapmotor focuses on efficient internal space, using 88% of the available area, which mainly benefits passengers in the rear seat.

Assisted driving technology with advanced lidar and chips

The top-of-the-line version features a lidar sensor combined with the Qualcomm SA8650 chip. Essa configuration allows driving assistance in a variety of scenarios, including urban navigation with City NAP, highway assistance and automatic parking with location memory.

The system supports complete scenarios from leaving one space to arriving at another. Essas functions aim to reduce the driver’s burden in daily routines, especially in congested traffic or during complex maneuvers. The presence of lidar sets the A10 apart in a competitive price range.

Reinforced security with high resistance materials

Leapmotor applied aeronautical grade steel with resistance of up to 2,000 MPa in strategic areas of the body. Essa choice raises protection standards in the event of a frontal, side or rear collision. The structural set seeks to meet safety requirements for compact electric vehicles.

Other features include tire pressure monitoring systems, stability controls, and autonomous emergency braking. The combination of these items contributes to a safer profile within the affordable electric SUV segment.

Electric motorization and battery options

The A10 uses a single front electric motor available in two power outputs: 70 kW, equivalent to 94 hp, or 90 kW, which corresponds to 121 hp. Ambos deliver maximum torque of 150 Nm, sufficient for adequate performance in urban use and on highways.

Lithium phosphate batteries come in 39.8 kWh and 53 kWh capacities. Elas provide, respectively, 403 km and 505 km of autonomy in the CLTC cycle. Fast charging allows you to recover from 30% to 80% of the charge in just 16 minutes, which facilitates longer trips or quick daily recharges.

These specifications position the model as a practical alternative for those looking for low operating costs. Efficient consumption helps reduce energy expenses compared to internal combustion vehicles of similar size.

Market positioning and competition

The launch takes place at a time of expansion of Leapmotor in the affordable electric segment. The A10 is seen as a straightforward option for buyers considering models like the BYD Atto 2, thanks to the balance between price, technology and autonomy. The inclusion of lidar in the most expensive version represents a rare differentiator in this price range.

The brand’s strategy includes export plans to several international markets throughout 2026. Support from the partnership with Stellantis can facilitate distribution in regions outside of Ásia. In the Chinese domestic market, the focus is on attracting families and urban users who prioritize value for money.

Leapmotor continues to invest in platforms dedicated to electric vehicles to maintain competitiveness. The A10 represents the first model in the company’s new A series, with other launches scheduled for the same year.

Additional technical details of the model

The vehicle reaches a maximum speed of around 160 km/h, which is adequate for its intended use. The curb weight varies depending on the version, directly influencing energy efficiency. The suspension has been calibrated to offer comfort without sacrificing cornering stability.

Buyers can choose between configurations that prioritize greater autonomy or advanced assistance features. Essa flexibility allows the A10 to meet different usage profiles, from short daily commutes to occasional medium-distance trips.

The infotainment system offers upgraded connectivity, with over-the-air updates available. Isso ensures that the vehicle receives software improvements over time, extending its technological relevance.
