Samsung has expanded the One UI 8.5 beta program to new models in the Galaxy line. The expansion announced in April 2026 includes the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5, in addition to the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy A36 5G. Initial release occurs in select markets such as One0, One1, One2, One3 and One4.

The inclusion of the Galaxy A36 5G marks the first time that a mid-range A device has officially participated in the One UI 8.5 beta program. Availability varies by model and region. Generation 5 foldables only appear in Coreia, Sul and Estados Unidos, while the A36 5G was initially released in Índia.

Expansion of the beta program

The new beta phase adds to the devices that have already participated since March, such as the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 foldables, the FE versions and Galaxy Tab S11 tablets. Samsung reported that the program should be extended to other devices at the end of April.

Eligible users can sign up via the app Samsung Members. The process requires active account Samsung and device compatibility check. Joining the beta allows you to test features before the stable release, but it includes risks typical of software in development.

Integration with Quick Share gains AirDrop support

The beta brings the integration of Quick Share with AirDrop support. Essa functionality facilitates file sharing between Galaxy devices and Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads and Macs. Collaboration with the Android platform allows direct sending without the need for extra applications in many cases.

The new feature was already present in more recent models with One UI 8.5 and now extends to devices that entered the new beta wave. Usuários report that the feature requires app update Quick Share via Google Play or Galaxy Store to fully function.

Cross-platform sharing solves an old limitation for those who live with mixed ecosystems. Arquivos of photos, videos and documents can be sent more easily between Android and iOS.

What the One UI 8.5 beta offers participants

The program allows early access to interface improvements, performance optimizations, and artificial intelligence features. Entre The highlights mentioned in previous phases are updated icons, a more customizable quick settings panel and lock screen adjustments.

Participants also test bug fixes and stability improvements. The beta includes the April 2026 security patch in some builds. Samsung recommends full data backup before installation.

User feedback helps Samsung refine the final update. Problemas identified in the beta are often fixed before wide release.

Availability on Brasil and América Latina

To date, the beta of One UI 8.5 remains restricted to early markets. Não there is an official release forecast for Brasil or other América Latina countries. Samsung usually gradually expands the program after the first phases.

Interested parties should follow the company’s official announcements or the app Samsung Members for updates. The stable version of One UI 8.5 should reach more devices over the next few months, following the usual update schedule.

Next steps for the beta program

Samsung plans to include more Galaxy devices in the wave of tests in April. Detalhes on exact expansion dates and new models should be announced soon by the company.

Those who participate in the beta contribute bug reports and suggestions directly through the app Samsung Members. Essa interaction speeds up the development of the final update for all users.

The strategy of expanding the beta to older and even mid-range lines shows Samsung’s commitment to extending software support to a greater number of devices.
