Police at Ilhas Canárias are investigating new evidence regarding the death of Hungarian influencer Annabella Lovas. The 32-year-old’s body was found in March 2025 in a remote natural pool in the ravine of Berriel, in Gran Canaria. Identification only occurred this month through dental records sent to the Interpol.
A backpack containing her passport and personal belongings was located on the night of Friday, April 10th. A shepherd found the item at a viewpoint in the south of the island, close to a landfill. Peritos have isolated the location and are now seeking to reconstruct the last movements of Annabella Lovas.
Body found in difficult to access area
The corpse appeared without clothes from the waist down and without documents. Peritos estimate that he remained in the water for at least three weeks. The fingertips were destroyed, which prevented fingerprints from being collected. Tatuagens on the shoulders and back helped in the initial investigation, but DNA tests were inconclusive.
Previous searches with drones and helicopters did not locate any belongings in the area. The police rule out violent death and do not treat the case as a crime. Autoridades believe that flooding caused by storms carried the body to the remote location.
