PlayStation 5’s Usuários experienced sudden disconnections between April 22nd and 23rd. Muitos were disconnected from their account while playing and had to accept new terms of service to return. The issue affected online sessions across several titles.

The incident occurred at varying times and caught players in the middle of competitive matches or extended sessions. Alguns reported loss of progress or penalties in ranked modes. Outros initially thought it was account issues or unauthorized access.

Desconexões occurred in multiple games

Jogadores of Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, NBA 2K, Final Fantasy XIV and other titles reported the same behavior. In some cases, the console signed the user out of the network and displayed the terms acceptance screen. Return to the game required confirmation.

  • Partidas ranked interrupted with loss of points or temporary bans due to disconnection
  • Sessões co-op or single-player with forced logout
  • Aplicativos like YouTube affected, requiring acceptance before continuing
  • Relatos voice chat temporarily restricted after process
  • Initial Preocupação with account security across multiple accounts

Most users were able to resume after accepting the terms, but the timing led to complaints.

Mudanças terms include legal reviews

Sony updated the document with adjustments to the arbitration clause, code of conduct and software licensing. Referências to PlayStation branding Network or PSN have been removed in parts of the text. Acceptance has become mandatory for access to online services.

The timing of the display during gameplay, rather than at startup or after completion, drew criticism. Alguns players have linked the update to age verification requirements in certain regions, but the company has not confirmed a direct link to the forced rollout.
