Blizzard Entertainment has released a patch update for Overwatch this Saturday, April 25, 2026. The technical package focuses on adjusting characters that showed a sharp drop in their win rates after the start of Temporada 2. Roadhog, Sombra and Vendetta are the main beneficiaries of the performance changes.

The developers justified the intervention as a necessary measure to readjust the game’s balance. Segundo the creative team, the intention is to make the heroes practical and fun, without compromising the overall mobility of the matches. Combat metrics will continue to be monitored rigorously until the middle of the current season.

Structural Mudanças on Roadhog cooldown time

The Roadhog tank has received a significant change to its main crowd control tool. Gancho cooldown from Corrente has been reduced from 8 to 7 seconds. The change attempts to find a middle ground for the character, who has faced extreme fluctuations in the effectiveness ranking in recent months.

At the end of the first season, Roadhog had left the bottom of the table after improving the consistency of its combos. Entretanto, the 2 second increase in hook cooldown applied in the turn to Temporada 2 hurt the hero’s performance. The new configuration seeks to give the character a more competitive tactical advantage without making him unbeatable.

Sombra and Vendetta receive survivability and speed boosts

Heroine Sombra had her movement speed penalty mitigated by Blizzard. Quando the character goes into stealth mode and is hit, the speed bonus reduction is now 33%, compared to the 50% previously applied. In practice, this allows her to maintain 67% of her extra agility even after being detected by her opponent.

Já The character Vendetta had an increase in her base hit points. The technical adjustment raised health from 175 to 200, totaling 275 total points. The change is a direct response to the heroine’s win rate dropping to 45% at Platina levels and above.

  • Roadhog: Gancho of Corrente reduced from 8s to 7s
  • Sombra: Penalidade speed when hit dropped to 33%
  • Vendetta: Total Vida increased from 250 to 275
  • Foco: Recuperação of heroes with low win rate
  • Objetivo: Melhorar mobility and fun in the current meta

Competitive Cenário and additional bug fixes

Apesar from the increase in hit points, Vendetta still faces a challenging environment in the current competitive landscape. The additional 25 points were inserted as common health, and not as armor with damage reduction, as was the case previously. Além Furthermore, the strong presence of heroes like Pharah in matches remains a natural obstacle to the character’s viability.

The update also implemented a number of bug fixes reported by the community since the last major patch. Blizzard has confirmed that it will continue to analyze match data in the Asian region and other global servers for future interventions. The data package is now available for download on all platforms where the game is operated.
