Chery officially launched the Tiggo V at Auto China 2026, a vehicle designed to meet the diverse mobility needs of modern families. The model combines SUV, minivan and utility features on a single platform, offering flexibility without compromising safety and comfort. The debut marks the evolution of a concept previously presented as T1TP on Indonésia.

The CEO of Chery, Jeff Zhang, highlighted that all of the brand’s innovations are based on a fundamental family-centered principle. Esse commitment translates into vehicles that meet the practical needs of everyday life, from urban commuting to traveling with large groups and transporting equipment for outdoor activities.

Conceito 3-in-1 redefines family vehicle category

The Tiggo V was developed with the aim of simultaneously being an SUV, a minivan and a cargo vehicle, eliminating the need to choose between features. The platform allows users to customize the vehicle according to different travel scenarios, keeping comfort as a priority.

The letter “V” in the name encapsulates three main concepts of the project:

  • Versatilidade: ability to fulfill multiple functions in a single product, integrating SUV characteristics, minivan comfort and cargo transport utility
  • Valor: practical efficiency proposal that meets diverse needs without significantly increasing operational costs
  • Victory: spirit of accompanying families in their achievements and important moments in life

Segurança and performance on different terrains

The Tiggo V is equipped with the Chery Super Hybrid hybrid system (CSH), developed to provide agile and efficient power in urban use, highways and trips with maximum load. The ground clearance of 220 millimeters and ability to cross puddles of up to 700 millimeters in the PHEV version and 650 millimeters in the gasoline version position the vehicle for different terrain conditions.

The suspension was specifically calibrated to provide comfort on urban roads while ensuring stability when traveling over uneven surfaces. The maximum inclination angle of 30 degrees reinforces the preparation to face natural obstacles and topographic variations.

Eficiência fuel and hybrid technology

The PHEV (plug-in hybrid) version has fuel consumption from 6 liters per 100 kilometers, while the purely gasoline version registers 7.84 liters per 100 kilometers. Essas metrics position the Tiggo V as an economically viable solution for families who combine frequent urban commutes with long-distance travel.

The CSH system was specifically developed to offer energy flexibility. Proprietários of the PHEV version can switch between electric power for short journeys and traditional fuel for extended journeys, optimizing operating costs according to usage pattern.

Alinhamento with contemporary mobility demands

The presentation at Auto China 2026 confirms Chery’s positioning in the face of contemporary family mobility challenges. The Chinese market, the largest consumer of vehicles in the world, represents a strategic laboratory for validating innovative concepts before global expansion.

The global research that underpinned the development of the Tiggo V highlights growing concern for versatility in saturated urban environments. Modern Famíliass face practical dilemmas: the need for comfort for daily commuting, load capacity for recreational activities, and contemporary technology for connectivity and safety.

Chery’s ever-expanding after-sales commitment complements the value proposition. Proprietários and Tiggo V will have access to a structured service network for preventive and corrective maintenance, a critical element for customer retention in multifunctional vehicle segments that require periodic calibration of different systems.

The Tiggo V represents a strategic response to demographic and behavioral transformations in the global automotive sector, where versatility and operational efficiency have become attributes as valued as raw performance.
