Embark Studios introduced Riven Tides, described as the biggest update to the shooter and extraction game Arc Raiders since its launch last October. The package arrives on April 28th for PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X, bringing significant changes to gameplay, arsenal and exploratory content.

Novo map and big enemy mark update

Riven Tides adds the map of the same name, set in a decaying industrial region known as Rust Belt. The scenario features coastline, abandoned resort and shipyard as exploration points, with a visual atmosphere distinctly different from existing maps. The update also introduces Turbina Arc, a new large enemy that flies, has a conical shape and has advanced defense mechanisms. Destruir this opponent represents a considerable challenge for teams.

A new smaller map condition, exclusive to Riven Tides, allows you to search for buried treasure on the beaches. Jogadores who find the right tool can discover valuable items, although they face unknown risks. Detector of Mestre of Cais assists in this alternative collection activity.

Economia of reworked weapons and repair systems

The armaments economy received complete restructuring. Jogadores in intense PvP combat faced difficult decisions regarding weapon wear, while casual participants accumulated chronic excess. Embark has introduced a new repair-while-upgrading feature that restores 25% of maximum durability, making the process more accessible.

The average durability of weapons generated on map outskirts has fallen from 50 to 30 points, increasing the value of high-level areas and locked rooms. Salas locked still offers weapons with durability around 60 points. Perda durability per shot now varies by rarity: common weapons suffer +75% loss, uncommon +50%, rare +35%, epic -5% and legendary -10%. KO’d Jogadores only lose 15% weapon durability instead of the previous 30%, balancing the aggressive playstyle.

Enemy Balanceamento and difficulty adjustments

Cometas have been completely removed from the default Campos, Batalha and Represa sessions. Presença of Vaga-lumes suffered drastic reduction in the same location, while Cometas also decreased in Cidade Enterrada. The developers explained that the addition of these enemies greatly increased the initial difficulty, removing newcomers from the intended experience. The Bettina rifle has gained optimizations to reflect its higher rarity. Dano base increased from 14 to 16 points, while base fire rate dropped from 285 to 235 rpm, allowing for greater impact per shot. Dispersão decreased by approximately 40%, enabling longer bursts with maintained accuracy. Tempo scatter recovery improved by 30%. Dano versus Arc armor grew by about 33%. Heavy Munição had its stack capacity increased from 40 to 60 rounds, facilitating the transportation necessary to sustain prolonged combat.

Dezenas environmental fixes cover all existing maps. Portão Azul received adjustments to collision near the church and resolution of spots where characters were trapped under debris in Arc. Cidade Enterrada has fixed lock points between walls. Espaçoporto saw improved collision on Torres from Lançamento. Campos and Batalha and Represa have received several lock adjustments to improve natural navigation.

Desempenho and stability boosted
