Sony revealed this week the three new titles that will arrive on PlayStation Plus Essential next Tuesday, May 5th. Service subscribers will be able to redeem and add to their EA Sports FC 26, Nine Sols and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers digital collection at no additional cost. The games will be available until Tuesday, June 2, when they will be removed from the platform.
EA Sports FC 26 with two distinct game modes
EA Sports FC 26 is the latest title in Electronic Arts’s football series, coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers in PS4 and PS5 versions. The game enhances its traditional formula with revamped gameplay based on community feedback. EA divided the experience into two different ways of playing, each targeting a specific type of experience.
Competitivo mode is designed especially for online play. Nessa version, speed is increased, responsiveness is improved and the focus is on the players’ individual skill. Já Realista mode offers a simulation much closer to real football, with a slower pace, more realistic physics and greater emphasis on team strategy and tactical characteristics of the teams.
Nine Sols combines fast-paced action and exploration Metroidvania
Nine Sols arrives in the PlayStation Plus catalog on both platforms. The title is an Metroidvania-style action platformer set in a world that mixes Taoist mythology and oriental science fiction. Players take on the role of Yi, a warrior awakened after centuries of sleep, who embarks on a journey of revenge against the Nove Sóis, ancient rulers responsible for the downfall of his people.
The gameplay combines technical combat based on parrying enemy blows, exploration on an interconnected map typical of Metroidvania and a visually striking hand-drawn aesthetic. The narrative tells the story of a civilization in decay, caught between mystical rituals, forbidden technology and ancient secrets that reveal the truth about the world.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers offers souls-like experience
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is an action RPG inspired by the souls-like genre that comes to PlayStation Plus Essential. The game is set in a dark fantasy version of China in 1647. Players control Wuchang, a pirate with memory lapses who acquired superhuman powers during her journey.
The character embarks on a journey through the lands of Shu, a region devastated by internal conflicts and a curse called “Feathering”. Essa curse turns local inhabitants into monstrous creatures. The game’s design follows the formula of intense challenges and environmental exploration characteristic of souls-like titles, combined with an immersive narrative centered on oriental mythology and history.
Cronograma availability and future releases
The three new games will arrive on PlayStation Plus Essential next week and will remain in the catalog for a period of one month. Confira the important dates:
