The 5.41 km circuit has high-speed curves and street sections. High temperature in Miami often influences tire management. The teams adjusted settings after free training on Friday.
Bortoleto will start just behind the top 10. Audi’s performance in the classification indicates its potential to fight for points in the sprint. Outros Brazilians have been following the weekend since Brasil.
What to expect from the short race and the rest of the weekend
The sprint serves as a thermometer for the performance of the cars. Ultrapassagens are common in the Miami trace. Tire strategy and the start take on extra importance over the reduced distance.
Após the sprint, the main classification defines the grid for the 57-lap race on Sunday. Championship leader Antonelli is looking to recover from his lost pole. Norris wants to capitalize on McLaren’s good momentum.
The sprint weekend offers less track time for set-ups. Teams work with limited data from the single free practice. The result of today’s test influences expectations for the main race.
