Douglas Santos plans career at Zenit until professional end

Douglas Santos, defender and captain of Zenit from São Petersburgo, expressed his desire to end his career with the Russian club. The defender said he was happy to retire with the team, but acknowledged that there is still work ahead. “Yes, I would be happy to retire. But we still have a lot of work to do. Entre 2014 and 2016, defended the colors of Atlético Mineiro, accumulating significant titles in Brasil. The Minas Gerais period was crucial for his consolidation as an international level defender. From 2016 to 2019, the Brazilian played for Hamburger SV, from Alemanha, expanding his experience in European competitions.
