Turnstile co-founder indicted on attempted first-degree murder
Brady Ebert, co-founder and former guitarist of the rock band Turnstile, was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on charges of attempted first-degree murder.
The crime carries a potential penalty of life in prison. The indictment follows his arrest in March on initial charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault.

On March 29, Ebert went to the home of 79-year-old William Yates, Silver Spring, Maryland. Ebert co-founded Turnstile in 2010 and remained with the group for 12 years. The split occurred in 2022, when the band removed him for a “consistent pattern of harmful behavior affecting himself, the band and the community”. Essa’s decision signaled growing internal disagreements.
