Spanish government announces repatriation of asymptomatic ship passengers with hantavirus

The Espanha government reported on Wednesday that the remaining passengers on board the MV cruise ship Hondius are asymptomatic. The vessel is facing a hantavirus outbreak that has already caused three deaths. Spanish Saúde’s Ministério confirmed the plan to receive the ship at Ilhas Canárias. Equipes doctors will examine everyone on board before repatriation to their countries of origin.

MV Hondius departed from Ushuaia, into Argentina, about a month ago. The original trip was headed to Cabo Verde. Três passengers died after infection with the virus.
