Adidas revealed the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3, the brand’s first supershoe with an average weight of less than 100 grams. The model weighs an average of 97 grams in sample size UK 8.5 and arrives for elite athletes this weekend in Londres. The shoe represents the result of three years of intensive research and promises to revolutionize performance in long-distance running events.

The new supershoe is 30% lighter than its predecessor and offers 11% more energy return in the forefoot. Running economy improves by 1.6% compared to the previous version, positioning the product as a candidate to break records since launch. Esses marginal gains can make a decisive difference in elite competitions.

Revolutionary Espuma and integrated carbon plate

The Adidas has completely restructured the interaction between foam and carbon plate in the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3. The new Lightstrike Pro Evo foam is almost 50% lighter than previous versions, while maintaining cushioning and propulsion capacity in each stride. With a 39 mm stack in the heel and 36 mm in the forefoot, the shoe offers balanced energy distribution.

At the heart of the construction is ENERGYRIM technology, which integrates carbon to support the largest possible volume of Lightstrike Pro Evo foam. The system adjusts the exact stiffness to maintain stability while maximizing energy return. Esses elements emerged after more than a dozen iterations, with testing in labs on Herzogenaurach and in high-altitude fields on Quênia and Etiópia.

  • Lightstrike Pro Evo foam with weight reduction close to 50%
  • Stack 39mm heel and 36mm forefoot
  • Drop just 3 mm
  • ENERGYRIM combines carbon and foam for precise stiffness
  • Upper inspired by kitesurfing sails for extreme lightness

Minimalist Cabedal and strategic sole

The Adidas has removed everything non-essential from the upper of the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3. The material takes inspiration from kitesurfing sail technologies and offers a near-zero weight sensation with pinpoint support where needed. Componentes like laces and stitching have undergone obsessive refinement for marginal performance gains.

The sole gains Continental rubber only at strategic points in the forefoot, maintaining traction at high speed without adding extra grams. The look maintains white minimalism with three black stripes, while the heel exposes a mirrored element that reveals part of the Energy Rim structure. Essa design approach prioritizes functionality over conventional aesthetics.

Elite Atletas debut model in Londres

Sebastien Sawe and Tigist Assefa must use the brand’s new racing kit. Yomif Kejelcha and Amos Kipruto compete with the Techfit+ endurance suit, which includes Climacool+ innovations for ventilation and Techfit+ for targeted support. Testes show up to 1% gain in running economy with the full suit integrated into the shoe.

The launch coincides with the recent legacy of the Adizero franchise. Desde 2023, the Adios Pro Evo models have helped athletes break three world records and win more than 30 important road races. The Adizero line as a whole has accumulated more than 200 victories in key competitions since 2020, consolidating the brand as a reference in elite running shoes.

Disponibilidade and price of the new supershoe

Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 has a very restricted release. Interessados were able to register for a chance to purchase starting April 23, with wider release expected for the fall marathon season. The price is US$500 or €500, reflecting the investment in cutting-edge research and technology.

The model will be available on adidas.com and specialized sporting goods retailers. The brand recommends that runners seek more information in the running shoes section to assess whether the footwear meets their specific training and competition needs.
