Google replaces Fitbit with new Health app with Premium plan included
Google has finished testing and officially launches Google Health, a direct replacement for the Fitbit application. The move unifies healthcare software under a single platform while maintaining the Fitbit brand for hardware devices only. The update arrives on May 19th for more than 200 countries, with full distribution before the launch of Fitbit Air, scheduled for May 26th.
The replacement reflects the company’s corporate strategy to consolidate its digital well-being services. The new application features customizable metrics, multimodal recording via text, voice or photo, and a virtual assistant called Google Health Coach, developed with Gemini technology. Free Usuários will access basic activity, health and sleep tracking, while Premium subscribers gain advanced features.
Google Health offers four main tabs on the interface
The application is intuitively organized so that users can quickly find their information. The bottom navigation contains:

- Fitness: Acompanhamento of activities, metrics and weekly planning
- Sono: Dados detailed with updated rest quality score

Além from the tabs, the new Registrar button allows you to manually add Atividade, Gordura body, Alimentação, Glicose, Hidratação, Menstruação, Sono, Temperatura and Peso through a redesigned interface. Friend leaderboards return to the platform with comparisons of steps and cardiovascular load.
Plano Premium integrated into the Google ecosystem
Google Health Premium subscribers gain access to Google Health Coach, a virtual assistant that adapts recommendations based on real-time metrics. The service includes personalized fitness plans, detailed sleep, fitness and health insights, and automatic medical record summaries. The library of exercises and previous mindfulness sessions remain available.
Google Health Premium has joined Google AI Pro and AI Ultra in more than 30 countries. Alternativamente, the plan can be purchased separately for US$9.99 monthly or US$99.99 annually. Usuários who already paid for Fitbit Premium automatically access the new Google Health premium at no additional cost during the transition period.

The company maintains this policy in the transition to Google Health, ensuring that sensitive health information remains segregated from advertising operations. Usuários from the free version will be allowed to import medical records into Estados Unidos, expanding functionality beyond basic monitoring. The availability of this functionality in other countries is still under evaluation by the company.
