Leapmotor has officially launched the new A10, a completely innovative compact electric SUV that is now available for purchase in the Chinese market. The model comes in four different versions with prices between US$9,500 and US$12,600, standing out for the inclusion of a lidar sensor in the premium configuration, advanced driving assistance technologies and a modern design aimed at urban use. The vehicle adopts the manufacturer’s Tech Natural Aesthetics 2.0 design language, with dimensions of 4,270 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height.

Versões available and pricing structure

The A10 is sold in four configurations that combine different levels of autonomy and active safety equipment. The vehicle structure uses high-strength steel in critical areas to improve occupant protection in the event of a collision.

  • Versão 403 Edition costs $9,500 with a 39.8 kWh battery.
  • Versão 403 Edition with ADS costs US$10,100, including driving assistance.
  • Versão 505 Edition is priced at $11,100 with a 53 kWh battery.
  • Versão 505 Edition with LiDAR is offered for $12,600, top of the line with advanced sensor.

Essas options allow buyers to choose between prioritizing greater autonomy or more sophisticated technological features according to their specific daily use needs.

Modern Interior with integrated artificial intelligence

In the cabin, the driver will find a two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, an 8.9-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.6-inch floating multimedia screen with 2.5K resolution. The system operates on the Qualcomm SA8295 chip and includes the artificial intelligence-based Qwen voice assistant, enabling natural and intuitive voice commands.

A special highlight is the IP BAR module, located below the central screen. Esse modular space allows the installation of customizable accessories such as ambient lighting, aroma diffuser, wireless charger or humidifier, depending on the owner’s preference. The Leapmotor aims to use 88% of the available area, mainly benefiting passengers in the rear seat with generous space and improved comfort.

Tecnologia driving assistance with advanced lidar and chips

The top-of-the-line version features a lidar sensor combined with the Qualcomm SA8650 chip, allowing driving assistance in various urban and highway scenarios. The system supports urban navigation with City NAP, highway assistance, automatic parking with location memory and automatic exit from spaces. Essas functions aim to reduce the driver’s burden in daily routines, especially in congested traffic or during complex maneuvers.

The presence of lidar sets the A10 apart in a competitive price range, offering environmental sensing capabilities that typically appear in much more expensive vehicles. The system can map the surroundings in real time, increasing the safety and reliability of autonomous operations.

Electric Motorização and impressive range

The A10 uses a single front electric motor available in two power outputs: 70 kW, equivalent to 94 horsepower, or 90 kW, corresponding to 121 horsepower. Ambos deliver maximum torque of 150 Nm, sufficient for adequate performance in urban use and fast roads. The lithium phosphate batteries come in capacities of 39.8 kWh and 53 kWh, providing respectively 403 km and 505 km of range in the CLTC cycle.

Fast charging allows you to recover from 30% to 80% of the charge in just 16 minutes, facilitating longer trips or quick daily recharges. Essas specifications position the model as a practical alternative for those looking for low operating costs, with efficient consumption that reduces energy expenses compared to internal combustion vehicles of similar size.

Segurança structural and protection systems

The Leapmotor applied aircraft-grade steel with a resistance of up to 2,000 MPa in strategic areas of the body, raising protection standards in the event of a frontal, side or rear collision. Outros features include tire pressure monitoring systems, electronic stability controls and autonomous emergency braking. The suspension was calibrated to offer comfort without sacrificing stability when cornering, meeting safety requirements for compact electric vehicles.

The infotainment system offers up-to-date connectivity with available over-the-air updates, ensuring the vehicle receives software improvements over time. The maximum speed reaches around 160 km/h, an adequate value for the intended urban use. The A10 represents the first model in Leapmotor’s new A series, with other launches scheduled for the same year.
