Prefeitura of Rio confirmed the first edition of Rio Nature & Climate Week (RNCW), an international week dedicated to discussions on climate, nature and sustainable development. The event takes place between June 1st and 6th, with activities spread across different parts of the city and the main conference at Píer Mauá. The initiative marks the transformation of Rio into a global mobilization platform on environmental issues.
The June calendar also features a musical highlight. Prefeitura confirmed Global Citizen’s free show at Praia’s Ipanema, at Zona Sul, on June 6th. Entre The main attractions are Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Ludmilla, who have already signed up for the festival.
Five-year-old Parceria consolidates event in the city
The city hall sealed a five-year agreement with the event organizers. The pact guarantees that Rio Nature & Climate Week will continue to take place annually in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, consolidating Rio as a destination for international debates on sustainability.
