Former television producer Jennifer Eckhart died at age 36 inside her Florida residence on the morning of September 19. Deputies from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office discovered her body during a response call to the property.

Sheriff confirms cause of death in official report
Christine Christofek, a spokesperson for the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, released a formal statement regarding the incident. “This death has been ruled a suicide,” Christofek stated in the official findings.
Eckhart spent seven years working across network programming, serving as an associate producer on Fox Business before her departure. Her career in television production placed her in major daily business broadcasts.

Legal battle and sexual misconduct allegations
The legal filing stated that Ed Henry violently raped her, subjected her to severe physical injuries with bloody wrists, demanded that she act as his sex slave, and repeatedly threatened retaliation to damage her broadcast career. Henry denied all claims following the submission of the complaint in 2020. The company dismissed him immediately after receiving notice of the accusations on June 25.
The network was dismissed as a defendant from the action.
Settlement reached after five years of litigation
Eckhart resolved the court proceedings against Henry in 2025 through an out-of-court agreement. “This has been an exhaustive, re-traumatizing, five-year legal battle with incredible challenges that at times I almost felt was unable to bear,” Eckhart stated after reaching the conclusion. She noted that the resolution lifted a substantial burden from her life.
She subsequently directed her focus toward trauma recovery programs through a foundation named The Reinvented Project. The organization offered animal-assisted therapy sessions to help individuals process severe psychological distress. She also launched a podcast titled REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart, interviewing public figures like musician Billy Corgan about generational trauma.
