JPMorgan executive faces sexual harassment and coercion lawsuit against junior colleague
A JPMorgan Chase CEO was sued by a junior colleague following allegations of sexual harassment, job coercion and racial discrimination. The lawsuit was filed with Tribunal Supremo of Condado of Nova York on April 27. Lorna Hajdini, 37, is accused of sexual abuse, racial harassment and explicit threats against the career of the banker, identified as “John Doe”. Segundo the process, the executive allegedly referred to her colleague as a “dark Indian boy” and coerced him into having non-consensual sexual relations under penalty of professional sabotage.
Início harassment and progression of attacks
The allegations indicate that the harassment began in spring 2024, shortly after Hajdini and the colleague began a professional collaboration. One of the first incidents described in the lawsuit involved the director brushing the banker’s leg and squeezing his calf after dropping a pen. Ela reportedly made comments about basketball players, stating that they made her “so turned on.” The advances became progressively more explicit in the following months.
On a drinking date, when the colleague declined the invitation, Hajdini allegedly uttered a direct threat: “If you don’t have sex with me soon, I will ruin you, never forget, you belong to me.” The pattern of behavior highlights a deliberate escalation of sexual pressure combined with professional coercion, according to the complaint.
Ameaças and manipulation of professional career
The lawsuit alleges that Hajdini used performance evaluations as a pressure tool to coerce his colleague. In September 2024, she reportedly intensified the threats, stating, “I own you! Vou makes you pay. Does Você think you’ll get along if you don’t have me on your side? Does Você really think management wants some dark-skinned Indian leading the productions? If you don’t fuck me until I lose my mind tonight, I’m going to sabotage your promotion.”
Essas’s statements created an environment of fear and submission, according to the lawsuit. The banker gave in to requests for a meeting despite his initial reluctance, fearing severe reprisals that would jeopardize his career at the bank. A witness staying in an adjacent room would have heard her protests during one of these meetings, noticing her discomfort.
Uso of substances and abuse during forced encounters
- Administração of Rohypnol (rape drug) without consent.
- Uso of pharmaceutical substance to cause erection.
- Prática of oral sex against the victim’s will.
- Insultos racially motivated towards colleague’s wife.
- Humilhação verbal during non-consensual sexual acts.
Hajdini would later admit to “John Doe” that he had drugged him on one of the occasions, using Rohypnol and a substance that causes erection. Ela claimed the goal was to ensure his performance during forced sexual encounters, revealing a deliberate pattern of manipulation and control. Durante one of these meetings in the victim’s apartment, the director allegedly undressed and began groping her own breasts while engaging in physical harassment.
Insultos racial and extreme humiliation
The lawsuit describes moments of extreme humiliation during the harassment. Hajdini allegedly made a derogatory comment about Doe’s Asian wife, calling her a “fish head” and comparing her unfavorably. Ela forcibly removed his colleague’s pants and performed oral sex on him against his will. Quando Doe started crying at the traumatic situation, Hajdini harshly scolded him, saying: “Stop crying, you idiot. Você do you think anyone would believe you? Você is an asshole who thinks he’s great, but he can’t even get excited because of me? What the fuck is this?”
Essas’s statements, according to the lawsuit, reinforce the intimidating environment and the cruelty of the harassment. The behavior demonstrates complete disregard for the victim’s suffering and the non-consensual nature of the acts carried out.
JPMorgan’s Resposta seeks compensation
In May 2025, “John Doe” filed a written complaint with JPMorgan Chase, detailing racial discrimination, ongoing harassment, and a pattern of severe sexual abuse. The bank responded by denying the allegations, stating that an internal investigation did not find evidence that corroborated them satisfactorily. A JPMorgan spokesperson stated: “After an investigation, we do not believe there is any basis for these allegations.”
The bank complemented its response by stating that several employees cooperated with the investigation, but the complainant refused to participate and refused to provide essential facts to support his allegations. Essa’s stance is challenged by Doe’s defense. Lawyer Daniel J. Kaiser highlighted the devastating impact of the treatment allegedly received. Doe was unable to find another job after the events, facing financial and reintegration difficulties into the market. The lawsuit seeks compensation for lost profits, emotional distress, reputational damage and punitive damages, as well as changes to the bank’s internal practices.
