Nintendo has confirmed nine new titles for release in May 2026 on the Switch 2 and Switch platforms. The catalog brings together action, narrative adventure, simulation and puzzle games, distributed throughout the month. The launch strategy seeks to attract different player profiles, from RPG fans to farming simulator and interactive adventure enthusiasts.

Mixtape and Indiana Jones open the month of releases

Mixtape arrives on May 7th as an exclusive to Switch 2. The game is an interactive adventure that follows three friends on their last journey together, exploring memorable moments of adolescence through cinematic and emotional narratives. The proposal focuses on immersive storytelling and human connections.

On May 12th, two relevant titles arrive simultaneously. Indiana Jones and Grande Círculo offer a first-person experience where the player lives as the famous archaeologist, equipped with his classic whip to face challenges, solve puzzles and explore mysterious locations around the world. The game is exclusive to Switch 2. On the same date, Chamado from Deuses Anciãos presents a narrative wrapped in a Lovecraftian atmosphere, combining adventure with challenging puzzles where the investigator delves into ancient secrets and indescribable creatures.

Simulação and construction gain prominence in the second fortnight

Outbound arrives on May 14th for both platforms. The game focuses on building and customizing a van, transforming it into a home on wheels to explore a utopian world. The mechanics allow solo or cooperative play, with total freedom for the player to define their own pace of progression and exploration.

Farming Simulator 26: Nintendo Switch Edition follows five days later on May 19th, only available on the original Switch. The simulation offers an authentic experience of rural life, allowing you to drive realistic agricultural machinery, harvest firewood with professional equipment and care for farm animals, including their newborn offspring. The title attracts players interested in detailed simulations and resource management.

Últimas weeks of May with narrative, coffee and RPG

The last weeks of May feature four distinct titles with varied proposals:

  • Yoshi and Livro Misterioso (May 21) — exclusive Switch 2, delving into the pages of a talking book full of mysteries
  • Bate chat about Café on Tóquio (May 21) — both platforms, inviting the player to work in a coffee shop
  • Contos by ARISE: Edição Além by Amanhecer (May 22) — exclusive Switch 2, action RPG with expanded narrative
  • Bubsy 4D (May 22) — both platforms, intergalactic platform adventure featuring the classic character

Yoshi dives into the pages of a talking book full of mysteries to unravel. Cada Discovery reveals new ways of exploration and curious characters whose details open additional paths in the interactive adventure. Bate chat about Café at Tóquio invites the player to work behind the counter of a coffee shop, preparing custom drinks, decorating with stencils, and building relationships with human and yokai customers.

Distribuição strategy between consoles and genre diversity

Contos of ARISE: Edição Além of Amanhecer offers action RPG centered around Alphen, unable to feel pain, and Shionne, cursed to harm anyone she touches. The edition includes the base game and Beyond the Dawn expansion, expanding the original narrative with new content. Bubsy 4D ends the period with an intergalactic platform adventure involving running, jumping, gliding and rolling across alien planets, fighting robotic sheep and collecting wool.

The programming is strategically divided between platforms. Cinco titles arrive exclusively on Switch 2, bolstering its nascent library and encouraging adoption of the new hardware. Quatro titles receive simultaneous release on both consoles, maintaining support for the original Switch still in active circulation. Farming Simulator 26 remains exclusive to the traditional Switch. The diversity of genres reflects Nintendo’s effort to satisfy different player profiles throughout May, with immersive narratives, detailed simulations, action adventures and challenging puzzles making up a robust portfolio for the month.
