Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor officially presented the A10, a compact electric SUV that hits the market with four versions and prices between US$9,500 and US$12,600. The model stands out for the inclusion of a lidar sensor in the top-of-the-line configuration, advanced driving assistance systems and modern design aimed at the urban segment. Measuring 4,270 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,635 mm high, the vehicle adopts the brand’s Tech Natural Aesthetics 2.0 visual language.

Estrutura pricing and available configurations

The A10 is offered in four versions that combine different battery capacities and technology packages. The body structure uses high-strength steel in critical areas to maximize occupant protection in impact situations.

  • Versão 403 Edition: US$9,500 with 39.8 kWh battery and 403 km range.
  • Versão 403 Edition with ADS: $10,100, including advanced driver assistance system.
  • Versão 505 Edition: US$11,100 with 53 kWh battery and 505 km range.
  • Versão 505 Edition with LiDAR: $12,600, top of the line with integrated lidar sensor.

Essa variety of options allows buyers to balance extended autonomy with sophisticated technologies according to their specific daily needs.

Smart Interior with artificial intelligence voice assistant

The cabin features a two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, an 8.9-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.6-inch floating multimedia screen with 2.5K resolution. The system operates with the Qualcomm SA8295 chip and integrates the Qwen voice assistant based on artificial intelligence, allowing natural and intuitive commands without the need to touch the screen.

An important differentiator is the IP BAR module located below the central screen. Esse modular space allows the installation of customizable accessories such as ambient lighting, aroma diffuser, wireless charger or humidifier according to the owner’s preference. The Leapmotor optimized 88% of the available area, mainly benefiting rear seat passengers with generous space and improved comfort.

Assistência driving with cutting-edge lidar and technology

The premium version integrates a lidar sensor with the Qualcomm SA8650 chip, enabling driving assistance in various urban and highway scenarios. The system supports urban navigation with City NAP, highway assistance, automatic parking with location memory and automatic exit from spaces. Essas features reduce the driver’s burden in daily routines, especially in congested traffic or during complex maneuvers.

The presence of lidar sets the A10 apart in its price range, offering environmental awareness capabilities typically found in much more expensive vehicles. The sensor maps the surroundings in real time, increasing the safety and reliability of autonomous operations.

Electric Motorização with competitive range

The A10 uses a front electric motor available in two power outputs: 70 kW (94 horsepower) or 90 kW (121 horsepower), both delivering a maximum torque of 150 Nm suitable for urban use and highways. The lithium phosphate batteries come in capacities of 39.8 kWh and 53 kWh, providing respectively 403 km and 505 km of range in the CLTC cycle.

Fast charging recovers 30% to 80% of the charge in just 16 minutes, facilitating longer trips and quick daily recharges. Essas specifications position the model as a practical alternative for those looking for low operating costs, with efficient consumption that reduces energy costs compared to internal combustion vehicles of similar size.

Segurança structural and advanced protection systems

The Leapmotor applied aircraft-grade steel with a resistance of up to 2,000 MPa in strategic areas of the body, raising protection standards in frontal, side or rear collisions. The vehicle includes tire pressure monitoring, electronic stability controls, autonomous emergency braking and a suspension calibrated for comfort without sacrificing cornering stability. The maximum speed reaches around 160 km/h, an adequate value for the intended urban use. The infotainment system offers up-to-date connectivity with available over-the-air updates, ensuring the vehicle receives software improvements over time. The A10 marks the first model in Leapmotor’s new A series, with other launches planned for the same period.
