Microsoft and developer Playground Games announced the launch of two running jacket collections inspired by Forza Horizon 6. The partnership brings together car enthusiast actor Sung Kang, Japanese-American lifestyle brand Uprisers Lab and Zipangu, the first J-Pop music festival held at Los Angeles. The designs combine game elements with Japanese craftsmanship, creating pieces that balance fashion and gamer identity.
The project arose from the proposal to create clothing that looked authentic from the first use. Ambas jackets were made from recycled Japanese selvedge denim, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability. A custom laser-engraved print superimposes cultural symbols of cherry blossoms, the Monte Fuji and JDM cars (Japan Domestic Market), establishing a visual connection between the game universe and Japanese automotive aesthetics.

The first jacket prioritizes functionality and nighttime visibility. Fitas silver reflectors run along the seams, designed to capture light at night. The interior offers a full lining printed with elements from Forza Horizon 6, as well as a custom pocket to accommodate video game controllers. The second version brings greater artisanal sophistication. Apliques 3D cherry blossoms are hand-sewn, while sashiko patches (a traditional Japanese sewing technique) incorporate engravings with gaming and pop culture references. The biggest highlight is the wireless LED strips, rechargeable and activated by an integrated switch, running along the seams.
